Hello everyone.
I was wondering if anyone has the same issue where the front parking sensor came off.

I came back on my trip from overseas, the Rivian sensor was beeping to clean it. I went to check and one of the sensor fell inside.

How it happened? I have no clue. Not even on gear guard.

With that said the next available appointment is about a month.

Anyone had this issue or know how to take apart the bumper so I can just push the sensor back in?

Thanks!

I didn't have any fall out like that but my parking sensor system has been offline for a few months now with a system fault.

I "dented" the plastic panel under the bumper while offroading and had to get inside that area to push it back out. It's not too difficult to get in that area from inside the wheel well. Turn the wheels to one extreme or the other so you can work in the front of the wheel well, laying on your back. Remove the screws that attach the wheel well liner to the fender - about 4 or 5 as I recall - and also remove 2 or 3 screws that attach the wheel well liner to the plastic panel under the bumper. You can then flex/pull the wheel well liner away enough to get a hand inside that area. I do recall seeing the corner radar module in there, I can't remember if I saw the parking sensor, but it should be accessible from there.

I haven’t tried to get behind the bumper, but I had a front sensor go bad. Rivian replaced it during my 7500 mile and said it may have been dinged while driving. They also said normally the sensors aren’t covered under warranty which I believe has been verified by others who had to pay for replacements.

Rivian didn’t charge me, but if I were you I would definitely try to reinstall yourself before taking it in so you don’t have to pay.

I wondered if you were able to fix this? I have the same issue (not the senior fault, a paying car threw a water bottle at the front and knocked it in)

This exact same thing just happened to me. Was driving and my sensors starting going a little crazy after parking I noticed the sensor on the front towards passenger side like this image fell inside. No hx of damage, no signs of anything hitting the bumper. I have a ticket open, we'll see if its covered.
