Unfortunately Gary isn't always on duty. And Tesla owners have already proven vandals don't know or care that your car has cameras.
I’ll remember to add the ‘/s’ next time in addition to the gif. Garys useless at best and a potential insider threat.

As an aside, a buddy of mine drove a Geo Metro in college. He always left it unlocked because the stereo cost less than the windows.
I heard this was a thing in some parts of the country(SF?). I have nothing in the car that is more valuable than a $4000 window. The most valuable thing in the car is the charger and child car seats. And they cost a tenth of the window replacement cost.

Source for $4000 estimate:

My college town was so safe, people would leave front doors and cars unlocked.

I was reading 'Emergency Stuff' over at RivianTrackr (sorry, I'm not really a traitor) and I was a little taken back by the emergency frunk procedure. I was unaware that there is a hidden frunk release cable behind the bumper. I keep a lot of valuable things in my frunk, but as I read it anyone who is familiar with the emergency frunk release cable location can just pop off the panel, pull the string, and get whatever I have in there! I can't believe that this is really the case?

This is a non-issue for reasons already stated by others. Although I wasn't aware it was there until you posted this, I'm glad to see Rivian adding this feature; I don't view it as a design flaw, I view is as yet another cool design choice. We're all individuals with different perspectives, opinions and use scenarios for our R1s. If this added feature bothers you, simply disable or cut the cord/cable yourself.

Two possible solutions: Don't put anything valuable in the Frunk...or cut the string. It's your vehicle after all.
