Gap in the driver seat side panel?

Is this gap normal?
I requested a service to fix it but Rivian told me this is normal on some position. I did not see the same on front passenger seat though.

It’s a flex joint to allow the seat full range of motion. Move your seat and it’ll change.

I’d really like to talk trash, but I saw the same thing and asked service at an appointment for other stuff… they moved the seat and pointed out that I am the problem.

Or more probably - it should be on all of those internet checklists people insist on having when they go for pick-up.

Yes, just adjust the seat. it is a flexible joint. I had the same question a week ago.

I must admit this “feature” worked on my OCD for quite a while. You can adjust it to where it looks much better…but….ultimately I chose to adjust it for max comfort and look away from the area.

I wonder if the forum software has the capability to force a search based on the title of new threads? For instance, user clicks ”Create new topic”, then types in the thread title they want. At that point, an automatic search runs on previous matching topics and basically says “do any of these existing threads give you the answer you’re looking for?”. User would then need to select “No” before continuing to create the new post.

Would be such a great way to reduce so many duplicative threads every week.

Also, if your new thread title has the term CarPlay in it, your computer would automatically self destruct.

Just an idea.

Didn’t think to observe while interacting with seat adjustment? Tolerance is needed for articulation.
