Gear Shop Checkout Process is Broken

I've tried since yesterday to make a purchase on gear shop. This is my 5th purchase from the site so I already have an account. However the checkout process yields an "Unknown" error when trying to save my shipping address and that's as far as I get. I let their support know about the issue but surprisingly a day later the error still occurs. I even started a new account to make sure it wasn't related to my account. Any of you able to purchase stuff the passed couple of days?

I was able to purchase a few things using Rivian points on 3/3, no issues.

(Don't get mad when I suggest this and you tell me you tried it already, but) Is there a chance it's a browser issue? I know it's like the proverbial "restart it" when encountering just about any tech problem, but maybe switching browsers/devices and give it another shot will work. Safari is notoriously difficult (as you likely already know).

Leasing Model 3 until R3X comes out, but now I have an R2 reservation as well.

It was acting a little slow for me on Sunday, but my order finally went through. Nothing has shipped yet though. I’m going to contact support and ask about it tomorrow.

I had a similar problem a few weeks back and had to create a new account to do a silly check out of an item.

Yeah, tried multiple browsers, incognito, I even created a whole new account with a new email. Always the same problem. I only use chrome ...

Yeah, tried multiple browsers, incognito, I even created a whole new account with a new email. Always the same problem. I only use chrome ...
It was slow again for me today as I tried to check on my order. It’s been four days and it still hasn’t shipped. I did a chat with customer service and they said the order is still being processed, it can take up to 5-10 days, and to check back after that. ?

Over a week they’ve been working on fixing the issue and it’s still persists. Basically the site cannot save my shipping address (I’ve tried three different addresses). They must not have very many sales if they care this little about a completely broken checkout process.

Over a week they’ve been working on fixing the issue and it’s still persists. Basically the site cannot save my shipping address (I’ve tried three different addresses). They must not have very many sales if they care this little about a completely broken checkout process.
I’m having similar problems. I ordered some clothes 10 days ago and they still haven’t shipped! I did a chat with customer service and they said they’d look into it. Now my order says ‘pending shipping’. If it really is just my shipping address why don’t they just ask me for it? At this point they should at least give me expedited shipping.

I had the same issue... I opened a chat and certain items can't be shipped to California. It's strange because I have several of these items from about a year ago...

Per Rivian customer service, these products can’t be purchased in California:
  • Portable Charger
  • Aux Accessory Kit
  • Field Kit
  • Pet Field Kit
  • Tailgate Pad
  • Rivian Duffel bag
  • Rivian Packing Cube Set
  • Travel Kitchen
  • Cookware Accessories Kit
  • Manual Tonneau Cover
  • Recovery Kit

Similar. I have had a few recent orders that went from ordered to shipping to delivered pretty quickly. Based on my very limited experiences lately, it feels like the ordering system has improved as far as shipping times are concerned.

I ordered the portable charger a couple of months ago (bought a used truck that didn't have one) and had to have it delivered to a family member in AZ and pick it up from them the next time I was out there. What's really frustrating is that it actually ships from California and in my case shipped from a warehouse I can walk to!

I asked if I could pick one up at a local service center and they said no.

So it seems the only current solution is to ship to an out of state location.

That's pretty annoying.

Fortunately I'm about 10 miles from Nevada, so I can try having it shipped to a Nevada post office or a mailbox store. Or potentially pick one up at the Reno service center. But that's hour away.
