Seems like my driver side gear tunnel door is not popping out at all when unlatched. It used to pop out enough to get fingers in the top but now I cant even get a fingernail in. Passenger side seems to pop out normally.

Anyone have any advice before I make a SC appointment? I tried taking the plastic part on the door off and adjusting the little studs. It helped a tiny bit but there is still something off.

It's always been an issue with me on both sides. I don't know that there is an adjustment to be made, just a questionable engineering choice to only have it unlatch for about 2 seconds and not pop out further.......My work around has been to just open the rear passenger door when I hit the gear tunnel release (on the bed or app) so it's easy to grab the frame of the gear tunnel door to open.

Mobile service just adjusted mine, still doesn't pop out more than a few mm, but I was hoping that was just the cold keeping it from working any better? The tech did say something about lubricating the latch, but I don't know that they did or how/what.

Mine don't pop out much if at all, I pretty much rely on the panel gap to pull the door down.

If I'm parked on a downward slope the lower tunnel door may drop a couple mm, the uphill won't.

Funny timing, I just did this mod yesterday. Mine never popped out. I sort of helped it by putting my tool bag against it while closing, but that wasn't reliable.

Brilliant,

This is great. I think I am going to try this. I am surprised there are no aftermarket solutions for something like this out already.

It seems crazy that the SC techs don't know this behavior (not popping out) is normal.
