The question is why would you want that $212+ obsolete pad instead of the one Rivian has just begun to implement into production… because the 2025 version is still not good enough? It is essentially the same as Gen1 with addition of that central divider and keycard reader for Gen2. Your phones won’t slide sideways as much, because of the divider, but could still slide fore/aft and out of alignment with the coils. This newest design has magnets, which make the pad compatible with Apple Magsafe and Android Qi2, to keep the phones aligned and in place. It’s also designed to accommodate phones with camera humps, which are partly to blame for the sliding (reduce contact area/friction and increased distance to coils).

It seems Rivian already got more stock of the chargers if anyone was waiting. They’ve shipped me 4/6 that I’ve ordered already. Not sure when more will ship but their September estimate was very long luckily.
Edit: Right after I posted this I checked my email and they shipped the last 2 units so seems they may be back in stock.
