Glad to hear you are resolved. I have another 4 weeks until my appointment. As you can see in the pictures, the RR is stuck at max height and LF is at its lowest. Unable to change suspension or drive settings and no cruise, lane departure, emergency braking, auto high beam, parking sensors. I hope it is as simple a fix as you had.

Thanks, that is a bad deal! I suspect that the solution for you will be different. As the problem with mine was with one of the zone controllers that is new for Gen 2. The control systems on gen 1 are entirely different. So likely not the same issue, but hopefully similarly easy to fix ?

Since none of your safety systems are working as a result of the ride height imbalance, I would highly recommend pushing on Rivian to get your appointment sooner. You shouldn't be made to wait with safety issues

My Gen 2 R1T just started getting this message also. When the message is active I cant change drive modes, right heights, or stiffness. Many times a front sensor error accompanies the message and stability control is also disabled. The truck rides very stiff when this happens also so I think the system puts the vehicle into the stiff setting (I didn't do it). Also getting a message that the hazard light button doesn't work - service soon. Scheduled an appointment for Feb 26th. Sometimes the message clears for a drive but then returns.

Uph that sounds pretty bad. The front sensors being disabled may be triggered by ride height. If you're in high, it disables radar (and thus a few safety systems) because the sensor isn't oriented/calibrated for that ride height. So that is a "normal" function if your suspension is getting stuck in high.

As for hazards not working, that's very not normal. All of these things combined, I'd guess maybe you're having a zone controller issue? Those modules control a LOT of functions, so one module could potentially cause lots of issues

Update...Took in for service in Madison Heights Michigan. They resolved the issue and the fix is listed below. While in service they supplied a 2023 R1S Quad loaner so I can't complain there.
.....
Confirmed that suspension telltale is present. Scanned codes, multiple codes set for left rear
ride height sensor failure. Accessed and inspected sensor, no external damage found. Tested
power and ground circuits to connector, found no power present. Water has entered connector
and corroded power wire. Replaced connector with pigtail assembly. Reassembled and
confirmed that suspension is now operating normally.

Our Gen1 R1S has been at MH for this same telltale issue since 2/20. No loaners available at the time. They hadn't even started working on it until last Friday afternoon.

This might be the first "confirmation" that they seem to prioritize appointments that have loaners. Or it could be they were able to pull codes remotely and tell that our issue was more involved, so it sat.

Same behavior when the telltale was up. I wouldn't compare it to "firm" though, it seemed to be put into a failsafe mode that was significantly more firm than any available setting.

They did have it for 8 days. They moved up the date they took it in as I think they prioritized because it was a suspension error. When I got there the tech and I took it for a test drive at their request, which surprised me but glad they did it. They also did an alignment which corrected a slight pull to the right and fixed a couple of other small issues. Overall, I was happy with Rivian service.

Finally had my appointment last week and got the truck back yesterday. They determined the low voltage harness to the RR height sensor was corroded. The same as michiganpinball. Repaired and all systems are functional again. The ride improvement vs having the suspension locked is night and day.

I asked about likelihood to see similar at other corners. They suggested it is not common. Of note, more common is mouse wire damage. It seems mice like the warmth the battery gives off and then to chew on wires.

They didn't have a Rivian loaner for me but Enterprise put me in a Kia Nero EV. While underpowered, better than your average small SUV. I still prefer the R1T.
