Hi Folks,
Just did a ~250+ mile round trip to southern Maine today with our Gen1 R1S LE that we recently got used with fairly significant mileage (55k).
I wondered what range would look like, has 22” sport dark with Michelin LTX the original owner put on to replace original 20” AT’s pretty recently, and crossbars I haven’t bothered taking off yet.
I drove in conserve the whole time, but was a mix of 70mph highway and 55mph local highway with a bit of city driving.
Got home with 65 miles left. Drove at least 250 miles. Temperature was between 35-50F throughout the day. Started with full charge conditioned cabin pulled from charger.
Very impressed with how accurate the range was and a bit surprised as I figured the 22” wheels would get me barely 300 in EPA conditions basically, but the truck says 321 at 100% and seems to be very near accurate even without ideal outdoor temps or 21” wheels or range wheels.
Pleasantly surprised and feeling great about road trips camping with the family this summer! Our Model Y Long Range was rated for 330, but we never got close to that, even in the summer with AS tires.
