I'm thinking LAS on my R1S to save some post-hike cost, but any experiences with a matte full PPF on theirs in that color? I'm drawn to the Stek product.

While I love Rivian Blue and Canyon Red, I need to get the tax credit which I can with pre-increase pricing on a Dual Max R1T with RUS. But only if I don't have to pay extra for paint. So that limits me to Glacier White and LA Silver, not that either one excites me.

For those of you have one of these, any downsides or upsides that you have experienced? If you had it to do over again would you make the other choice?
I got white and did a wrap. Was cheaper than the factory colour options, and you can choose annnnyyyyy colour you want :) But wait awhile, white might grow on you. Personally I like colour. I always thought white vehicles looked like they forgot to paint them. And my last car was a nearly identical silver, so I'm bored of that.

As others have said, if you signed the binding purchase agreement there is no price cap (confirmed by my accountant again today as we finalize the 2022 tax return filed with an extension). So with this in mind....
If you move fast you can still snag a compass yellow quad motor from the shop. ?

I have a Compass Yellow so you know that I am a man of eccentric taste and while I generally dislike white cars, the white R1S looks really good.

Easily the best greyscale color they offer, IMO.

I have the silver… love it. Matches the silver trim that would stand out on other colors I think. Silver also hides dirt well!

I wasn't excited about white but I was in the same predicament. I chose white and it grew on me - a lot. I still wish I could have gone with canyon red, though

I had a silver loaner and I didn't like it. I'm not sure why, but it just didn't do it for me. Also, the metal flake didn't appear to be distributed evenly, giving it a ghost of a splotchy look from the right angles. It was a 6xxx vin, so maybe they dialed it in since then
I sorta’ wish the Canyon Red was…well…red. I love my white. No downsides

Seriously, I like them both...I think the LA Silver is easier to keep clean but I like the white too

For me, silver on the R1T (which is what I have) and white on the R1S. I really like my silver, particularly when paired with black wheels and after six years of a black car I was excited for something much easier to care for.

White was my second choice, but I also don’t think I would have regretted white either.
Yeop I agree with you on LA silver. In my opinion the combination of LA Silver with 20" black rim looks the best.

We have a Rivian Blue R1T. The two colors that really turned us on were the Rivian Blue and the Compass Yellow. Of course, the were the most expensive ones. We are happy with our choice. Our son has an R1S in white. It is really sharp looking. With the black roof it almost has a two tone look. Color choice is always a personal preference.

Hanes or Fruit of the Loom?? I have owned cars in both categories. White hides dirt/dust just as well.

The straight pros and cons: LAS is a metallic paint. GW is not. Metallics are more dynamic and offer higher contrast between light & shadows. Because of this it will show dents and dings more readily, where GW would only reveal these subtle imperfections when light is just right. Metallics are also harder to match and spray evenly (distribution of metallic flakes with in the paint emulsion). GW has been said to be thicker than all other options, but it’s splitting hairs.

If you are pre-hike, you’d be essentially getting GW for free. Post-hike, LAS became the only “included” choice. And if you have signed binding agreement, from before IRA was signed into law on 8/16/22, the IRA’s price cap-and all terms-do not apply to you and you’d be fretting over colors for nothing. Load it up, sky’s the limit.

I did not like white I dislike silver but to expedite delivery a year ago I ordered white. I really like the white. I think it looks great and it makes the T look bigger. Actually I think the Rivian would look great in any color.

Got white on my R1T. The white color has a tinge of yellow in it. It is not appliance white lol. Easy maintenance and the touch up blends in very nice from Dr color chip. Imho, colors with metal flake are more difficult to touch up/blend in. Can't lose with cocaine white lol.
