"There won't be a fixed number of chargers at each location—the companies say most sites will have "up to 20 stalls," with some locations featuring significantly more."

I have had nothing but bad experiences at EVGO stations.
The last was 2 days ago, was low on charge near my house, tried to plug in and go to the store next door.
The only fast charger was offline, guy next to me was having trouble but after calling them he was able to charge.
Swiped my card, not authorized, swiped another card, not authorized, called them, even though I have to app and have my R1T registered, he had to add my card.
No problem but why in the world do I have to call to use another card, just let me pay you to charge my truck on your super slow charger!
Not at all the first time having a bad time at EVGO.
I swore then that I'll never go back to EVGO...
Got the email that my Rivian Adaptor is ready to ship, please get here fast!

I went to one just south of Dalton GA heading to Atlanta.

Was at least close to the shopping area. And when I pulled up there were regular cars parked there cause the front of the store parking was full up.

We use the one in the Ardmore Flying J on OKC to Dallas trips. Seamless experiences so far. By the time we use the RR, top up on snacks, let the dogs do their biz, the R1S is ready to hit the road.
I highly recommend this is a stop for those traveling through Ardmore.
And yes, they have squeegees (the filthy water made a mess on the back of our white SUV)!

I had a flawless experience in Peculiar Missouri. Except the 62 cents per kWh. I think they had squeegees, but I was so excited about the bathrooms, awning and trash cans I can't remember. There is a 150kW station 10 miles south that is only 43 or so cents per kWh.

Thanks for sharing. What I find interesting is that there isn't a convenience store next to it. ICE cars take a few minutes to fill up and there are always convenience stores attached to the petrol station. EVs take a lot longer so there's a great opportunity.

Probably more of a foot traffic issue. A lot of cars flow through a gas station so lots of foot traffic. On my travels, especially east of AZ, most of the charge stops I have done no other vehicles for the half hour or so I charged. That would make it hard to get the required sales to justify the store.

I know there are a lot of truck stops and larger travel stations that are putting in chargers. Those I found to be really good while traveling as they have the restrooms and other amenities, as well as not being in empty parking lots should you be traveling late at night.

Hopefully this model will catch on making traveling much easier.

I'm planning to use a couple of these on our trip next month. Looking forward to finding out how awesome they are when we're pulling a trailer. Wish the inner ones had a wee bit more space so the camper door could be out and not in the way.

I’ve stopped at several of the pilot flying J ones and they were all great experiences. All but one had squeegee stations, were under a canopy, and all the other convinces of a gas station. Plug and charge worked perfectly. If the price wasn’t so high they would be great stops. The only bad experience I have had with EVgo was one at a mall in Daytona. 3 stations out of order, called and they couldn’t remote into it or restart it. The windows desktop was showing on the screen and it was locked up. Can’t believe they don’t set these things up with bios level remote access! But thankfully there was an FPL station on the other side of the parking lot that worked just fine. That was before the RAN station opened in Daytona.
