Also haven't received my update...does anyone know when the full roll out will be complete?
It takes 7+ days for them to roll out to the entire connect+ subscriber list. It's also a rolling pool, so even if you were early last month, you can be on the end of the list this month.

same here on all downloaded both app and r1T. did a hard reset and then got Spooked ;)
normally only do updates parked at home with wifi connected, but did this one at office...wifi spotty outside there so maybe that caused a glitch?

I know the "exterior" sounds are only working on the interior of my truck. Kind of a bummer. Also, it would be slick if those sounds could happen as part of the regular Gear Guard when the truck is parked and I'm away. Right now, Halloween mode is only useful if you're there with it, actively showing off your vehicle. Not my jam.

Connect+ subscribers are always first. So if you are not currently subscribed, your update will come after all the subscribers have been flagged. This is why they market it as "Priority Updates" - however there is such a large percentage of owners that have subscribed, so even for them, being at the end of the pool does not feel like priority.

Howdy folks!! We had the same problem with our Gen 1 R1S tried an infotainment reset - no luck. Then a hard reset - no luck.

Today I brought the vehicle to Discount Tire for a winter tire swap. They did the recalibration from 21” to 22” which of course restarted the R1S. Leaving Discount Tire, I parked nearby on the off chance that the Halloween mode would work. And for some reason that kind of reset brought Halloween mode to life.

But apparently you have to switch to 22” rims with Nokian studded Hakks. 🙂

Tried it - didn't help. Updated app two days ago. Got vehicle update yesterday, downloaded, installed. Doesn't work. Wife updated her app, rebooted both iPhones, neither phone get it work.
  1. Soft reset vehicle - nothing
  2. Hard reset vehicle - nothing
  3. Went for a drive, parked - nothing
  4. Deleted app off iPhone, rebooted iPhone, re-downloaded app, re-paired to vehicle - nothing
While this is not the first issue we've had with the vehicle in our 13 months of ownership, it is the first OTA update we've had an issue with.

Unrelated but why can't we keep these themes as options to use later? I wouldn't mind still having last year's available. I get if there was a licensing cost, but all the trouble of making and then disappear seems like a waste.

I hate that my first ever post in here is about a problem, but I am not seeing anyone else on the internet having a Halloween 2025 issue. I updated my app and ‘24 Gen 1 RIS to the latest software. Halloween mode shows up in the app, but it does nothing once enabled. Last year, I had no issues with the Halloween mode. This year, it’s nothing. The only thing that seems to work is the frog croak when locking, whether or not Halloween is enabled. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the iPhone app, and done a soft reset on the car. Still won’t work. On or off WiFi doesn’t matter. And yes I’ve been completely parked each time.
mINE IS UP AND RUNNING NOW. vERY COOL.

Gen 1 & I have updated to the latest phone app but so far no notice for the vehicle update. I'm on 2025.34.01 and says I'm on the latest update. I hate that Rivian says Halloween mode is here there are so many people still without it and it's been 4 or 5 days since it was announced. Now they have pissed off owners.

I had the same issue and couldn't figure it out the night the R1S updated. Did a hard reset and waited all night. Still didn't work. I knew the app was working because I could still operate the windows, HVAC, charge port, etc.

Next morning I had my wife try to turn on the Halloween mode from her app and it worked. So deleting the app on my phone and reinstalling it solved it.

Solution: delete app, re-install app, re-sync phone as key.

Hope this works for others!

Frustrating. Just got the R1T two months ago and the kids are super excited for spooky swamp. Both app and R1T updated to most recent versions. Saw the splash screen of spooky after R1T update which had the kids jumping up and down

that was 24 hours ago now and after 3 hard resets, 2 soft resets, deleting app and reinstalling, installing app on a different phone, and placing a pumpkin in the bed of the truck (kids idea) to appease the spooky gods…. Nothing.

Still no sign of anything new in the app.
