When I turn WiFi off in my truck, a pop up comes up on the center screen and states “to avoid delays in updates, turn on WiFi”Finally got around to parking in the garage and connecting to Wi-Fi and 90 minutes later the update popped on my phone. Update still took the normal time though so it doesn't seem that this was that much larger than usual. Wi-fi is definitely the answer but Rivian really needs to announce this change.
I had never connected WiFi before and always received updates on the 2nd or 3rd day. This is a new thing that should be communicated proactively by Rivian. When I turn WiFi off in my truck, a pop up comes up on the center screen and states “to avoid delays in updates, turn on WiFi”
I think it’s new because not everyone will subscribe to the new Connect + maybe and many will lose the mobile connection. But true, it hasn’t been mentioned yet.I had never connected WiFi before and always received updates on the 2nd or 3rd day. This is a new thing that should be communicated proactively by Rivian.
