Finally got around to parking in the garage and connecting to Wi-Fi and 90 minutes later the update popped on my phone. Update still took the normal time though so it doesn't seem that this was that much larger than usual. Wi-fi is definitely the answer but Rivian really needs to announce this change.

Car is connected to wifi and still on 2024.11 been few days I check and make sure the car is connected but is impossible to know what's happening, also have LTE coverage in the garage.

I think it’s new because not everyone will subscribe to the new Connect + maybe and many will lose the mobile connection. But true, it hasn’t been mentioned yet.
