Not sure if folks will like or hate this but I have a fair amount of Amp/Service to my home and I don’t use it all really so I ran a large gauge wire to a sub panel (inside a shed) then through the shed to the charger. The sub panel has a 60 amp breaker in it for this one charger but I’m sure we’ll have multiple full sized EVs within 5 years and so was planning for concurrent charging with decent performance. Just something to think about if you’re installing things in close proximity to the electrical panel - I did a large renovation on the house so ran 2 gauge wire to the charger location pro-actively.
I recommend the Tesla Wall Chargers for multiple vehicles. These will self network to share power if the total goes over the feeder limit. Up to six units will network on their own wifi.

I set up four at the office that are working perfect. Four more are being installed in an apartment building with room for expansion if needed.

So for the charger itself, I’m buying the one that Rivian is supplying with my car. My driveway is behind a gate but not near a wall, however, I do have a buried junction box next to the driveway that has a direct conduit to a panel that has room for another breaker so I thought I was just gonna run some wires from that and install either a 4 x 4 or one of these pedestals that I’m seeing online to put the charger on it

Rivian provides a mobile EVSE with 5-15 and 14-50 plugs. Do you mean you bought the Rivian branded hardwire EVSE?

Either way, I believe there are some considerations as to how full you can make the conduit.

Depending on where the EVSE is located and how you prefer to park your truck, you may want to also mount a J1772 holder near the charge port so you don't have to coil up the cord every time you unplug. I did something similar in my garage. The plug for my EVSE was on the back wall, but the charge port of my Tesla was near the door, so I just hung the end of the wand on a holder near the door and left the cable always stretched out along the wall.

Unless you have the expertise, I'd hire an electrician.

🤣 I do have certain amount of expertise, but yes… this will be done along-side my electrician.
