That's encouraging. I pick mine up tomorrow. So I'll be able to report if it is behaving differently.I had a loaner (VIN ~11,500) and it had bad flutter like you guys are showing....the gaps were bad on the front end (hood/headlights), so i'm sure air was getting up under the hood. However, my truck VIN (~9100) has absolutely no flutter and tight gaps on the front end.
Agreed… is this normal for trucks let alone 100k trucks like raptors and TRX’s?? I’ve never experienced this on any vehicle. Lexus IS/RX, Land Cruiser, Infiniti QX, Volvo XC60. To be told it’s “normal” by service would be very upsetting.I would consider an aero induced dent in the hood (panel flex) at normal highway speeds to be 100% unacceptable.
Well, some SC's are telling owners "the tok is normal because all the trucks do that" so it seems brain cells may be in short supply at the SC's.To be told it’s “normal” by service would be very upsetting.
I do have the flutter, but almost unnoticeable, unless I'm concentrating on it. I will say that my last two work cars assgned to me, had major hood flutter. One went 175K miles before they threatened to turn off my ability to get gas, if I didn't turn it in to get salvaged. I thought forsure that one was going to lose a hood on the freeway, but it held on. My brand new Explorer came to me with 25 miles on the odometer a few weeks ago and it has a decent amount of hood flutter, which super noticeable at 120mph ?Agreed… is this normal for trucks let alone 100k trucks like raptors and TRX’s??
