Last night i was making left turn while opposite traffic stopped to keep intersection clear due to traffic, wise guy decided to pass that line of cars from their right side and ended up swiping my front bumper, caused a moderate damage, his front got hit badly and his airbags deployed. luckly no injuries, however the proximity sensor on my front bumper was blown off from the impact and many plastic material cracked , looks like the tow hook took the brunt of the impact and luckly saved my rivian from more costly damage. now car displaying sensor error and showing proxmity sensors are off, however both backup and front cameras stopped showing any feed. it's an issue not having backup view. i am ordering an wireless cameras on amazon in the meantime till i sort out the damage with sc and insurance.
Anyone knows if the cameras directly connected with proxmity / parking sensors ? i hate to think that, as those sensors are the 1st item that gets damaged upon most moderate impacts. any info or recommendation greatly appreciated. see attached pics
