Is it possible to be missing gear guard?

I have only had my R1S about 6 weeks and have never received any notifications on my gear guard so I looked in the manual and it says on the main screen go into gear guard for settings but I have looked and I do not have the gear guard icon anywhere. I also purchased an external drive for recording the drive cam. Any suggestions? Am I missing something?

Did you swipe up from the bottom of the screen to fully expose the menu? There are hidden icons.

It’s likely you don’t have it enabled, the external drive is more for capturing driving incidents.

Gear guard recordings would be saved even without your external drive. That is used to store your drive cam recordings. I agree with others and your icon is probably hiding from you. I can’t think of any way you would be missing that alone.

You can also enable/disable gear guard from the app. Go to Security and Access
