I used the a2z extension for about six months without issue on our secondary EV (the Rivian gets primary parking spot) it worked fine till it didn’t. Melted the plastic off inside the charge port on the Volvo. That said I was running it at 40A because I got cocky. And A2Z stood behind it and paid for the repair on the car. (The grizzl-E charger died as well but that was a warranty claim)

I pass my charging cable under the garage door. It just so happens there's a tiny gap there where the floor is lower on that side, so the weatherstripping is looser there and the door itself doesn't drop onto the cable.

Even with the seal, that spot was flagged by pest control as a potential rodent entry point.

I like the idea of the printed passthrough, maybe you can re-print it with a smaller-diameter tunnel?

Generally I would consider them safe for temporary use.
However I would not be excited about closing the garage door on a cable.

Far prefer to have an exterior charge unit or 240v outlet.
I've been closing my garage door on my (hardwired wall-mounted, 25 ft) cables for years. My garage door does have a pretty thick and flexible bottom bumper/insulation strip, though. I wouldn't do it with a garage door that the metal door gets close to the ground.

I imagine that you could reach out to anyone printing them on Etsy and give them the diameter you want and they'd do it for you.

I have a tesla charger and use a tesla extension with an adapter as we have two ev's and I need the cable to reach both.. It's worked fine for 2 years but I only run at half power.
