I bought a vevor air jack,($90) a vevor 1/2 inch)air impact wrench;($50)and one 6 inch ox bloc($30 onEBay ) to-lift my Rivian when I get it. Both the Rivian air jack lift and the 1/2 inch-impact wrench I believe will be able to work off of the compressor on the Rivian. Both of these air devices need less than 100 psi and apparently the Rivian puts out 150 from the source I read.Any thoughts on this? I understand we need 23 inches of rise to get the tire off and on -the air lift gives 17 1/2 and the ox block 6 1/2 for 1 inch to spare . If I get to 22 inch wheels for the quad can I throw an 18 inch spear that I have in the enclosure and use it in an emergency?

Neither of those things will work. The "compressor" you are referencing is actually just an inflator and not designed for anything else.

There is a compressor for the suspension, but it is not user-accessible.

Oh, and the 18 inch wheel won't fit over the calipers.

I believe that if it can inflate the tire, it can inflate the airbag lifter. and it should be able to operate an air wrench n short or long bursts.

You asked, I answered. If you don't care about the answer, why ask?

Have fun running an impact wrench with this...

I am arguing with you ,hoping you might reconsider your opinion on at least the lift bag. I thank you for your advice on the 18 inch spare.

I will concede that the lift bag has a potential of working.

Air tools tend to require steady pressure, i.e. compressor with a pressurized tank. The accessory compressor does not fit the bill. Unlikely it will work. But you’ll find out soon enough. And the longer you run the compressor, for tools or air jack, the more likely you’ll overheat it; leading to it shutting down to prevent catastrophic failure. Also, that Vevor jack probably doesn’t have enough lift height for the rear.

Even if the onboard compressor does work, you are going to absolutely smoke its life expectancy. I would not expect Rivian to honor a warranty on the onboard compressor if you're misusing it for these sorts of applications.

Even ARB themselves do not recommend using their 100% duty cycle twin compressors for air tools or jacking. They always recommend using a reservoir that can smooth out the load on the compressor.

Just for reference, it took me just over 5 minutes to inflate all 4 of my tires from 38psi to 48psi with the onboard compressor. While I love the feature and convenience of it, it's definitely meant as a tire inflater and not a compressor for pneumatic tools.

Also, the idea of using the onboard compressor for inflating an air jack seems like a lot of time spent standing and waiting for it to inflate. All the 5* ish reviews for the tool are based on users with a reservoir style compressor, filled to around 150psi, throw the lever, and your truck is off the ground near instantly.

I am not inclined to do this, but in a pinch and with the correct tubing, every vehicle has 4 (and sometimes 5) pressurized tanks. I have only seen this used in off road emergency situations but it would work the same way as a pressurized air compressor to put a tire in line with the onboard compressor to provide steady sustained high pressure output.
