I like it. It kind of pushes you back over the line if you drift without your turn signal / lane change signal on. Works well for me, obviously ymmv. ?

I've just had my R1S for almost three weeks and sometimes find lane keeping assist very annoying. But yesterday I looked down to see what song was playing and drifted right and almost into a curve but the system nudged me back. I've noticed that that it's worse on narrow two lane roads.

Unlike most others (apparently), I gave it more than a few days of frustrating trial and ended up keeping it on (without audio!). It has ultimately improved my driving. I am much better at sub-conscious lane centering and overall lane minding than I used to be. It rarely triggers anymore.

I turned mine off too, kept trying to swerve me into other cars or off the road.

It sees lane lines that don't exist.

You can disable it in the Driver+ settings.
“It sees lane lines that don't exist.”

This! In Los Angeles there are many sections of the freeways where they have restriped many times over. The truck gets confused.

Interesting comments above. I use my LKA all the time of major highways and find it really useful and easy to use. It provides another level of autonomy vs. me having to keep the vehicle in the lane. Shifting to lanes works well.

The only gripe I have is the non-highway keeping isn't enabled (at least on my vehicle). I will look to see if there is something I am missing.

It thinks a lot of cracks/gaps in the road are also lane lines.

With perfect striping and daylight conditions it works great, but that’s not real life.

I kept the warming on that vibrates the steering wheel but it almost feels like it nudges it so I might turn it off.

I guess I haven’t experienced it any differently in my other vehicles. This is pretty much how it works in polestars and rams too.
It's funny as hell in the Fisker. In places where the shoulder line expands into a new lane, it tries to follow the line like the vehicle is on rails. Takes quite a bit of countersteering to disengage it, and it fights you the whole time. Rivian and Polestar sort of do this depending on how the lines are painted, but not nearly as aggressively.

I typically turn these systems off on any vehicle I'm in, but like knowing how well they work or don't work. Last I used it in my Rivian, it wasn't as nice to use as the Polestar's. Mostly because of the width of the vehicles and how skinny some of the roads I drive on are.

As stated, it does not work well and it is not dependable, but on most major roads, if I drift one way or the other, a dotted yellow line appears on that side of the small screen and the steering wheel auto corrects. This is not a the point where I'd call it a safety feature because it may start to take me into a gentle curve and then stop guiding. I'll try and get a picture of this.
This is exactly how mine has always worked. It's not as horrible as the one in the loaner Cadillac we have right now, but far from the near perfection of Ford and some Japanese cars. Or Mercedes which is nearly Tesla AP level in some situations.

I like using the Lane Assist but my wife doesn't. I do however HATE Driver+ and have only used it out of curiosity and only for about 3 miles. I am old school and learned to drive cars at a time when the instructor drilled into my head to NOT take my hands off the wheel.

So is it really that there's only one toggle now for all LKA instead of separate toggles for warning, sound, vibration, and assist? (as seen in the images above)
