Specifically on my screen: 2024.19.04(aa34ce0e)
After the recent update, I've noticed a new feature that I don't see listed in the notes. My R1T now has a (not very efficient or robust) lane-keep system. At first, I thought it was only when cruise control was set, but I also noticed w/o cruise control. This is very different from "Highway Assist" which only works on interstates and a few WA State Routes.
As stated, it does not work well and it is not dependable, but on most major roads, if I drift one way or the other, a dotted yellow line appears on that side of the small screen and the steering wheel auto corrects. This is not a the point where I'd call it a safety feature because it may start to take me into a gentle curve and then stop guiding. I'll try and get a picture of this.
I've seen this feature in other vehicles I've rented, for example (Tesla or Toyota Venza). In each of these vehicles, it works almost as a full assist
"Highway Assist" works well but wish it worked on secondary roads and more like the features mentioned above.
Is anyone else experiencing this? AIso, do you know if is it still under development, hopefully? It definitely needs improvement.
