I noticed a little while back that Rivian changed the Lane Keep description to mention that it's goal is to "keep the vehicle centered in a lane". It definitely accomplishes this better than other Lane Keep systems I have used in other vehicles, and seems to nudge before actually running over the line on either side of the car. Being able to turn off the audible and vibration warnings is a plus, because I find them annoying.
It's definitely less aggressive about taking over steering control compared to Driver+ highway assist and I'm really wondering if that kind of aggression is what people would expect from a system that's truly designed as "Lane Centering", as I typically don't like actually being in the center of the lane when I'm around other traffic.
I haven't tried to see what the difference between Early and Normal is, and only have it in Normal.
That said, I've still been leaving it off because some of the roads I drive on are really skinny and I'd prefer being able to drive down the white line instead of being nudged off it.
