Used mine today for first time and it could not have been easier. Adapter into car--> NACS cord into adapter--> Charge begins --> Finish session --> Remove NACS from adapter --> Remove adapter from car, drive away. No struggles at all in removing the NACS cord from the adapter.

Very happy with it - and will use it on a road trip this weekend, so timing was perfect as well.

No trouble removing the Supercharger plug from adapter?

Report from the wild - charged at Nashville SC and worked great until the charger abruptly stopped without throwing any messages after about 25 minutes at 63% SOC. Mapping software wanted me to get to 75% before moving on, so needed a little more. I moved to two other stalls, and then got a message saying something like “charger not fully connected, try again.” I was able to manage getting where I was going as that 12% was really buffer anyways (and caught a nice slipstream from an 18 wheeler to conserve!).

I’m wondering if it was a temp sensor in the adapter that caused it to stop?

Will be using more SC locations on way back from Kentucky tomorrow and will update here for those that it may help.

Another update for those that have this adapter:

ABRP had me stopping there for 15 minutes and then again in Monteagle for 15 minutes. The Nashville station worked just fine on my way home. The Monteagle station wouldn’t even start was giving me the same error (charger not connected properly, try again). Tried 5 different stalls and got the same each time. Ended up making it to Chattanooga EA station and worked just fine (and there was an art festival happening, which was a bonus!).

I’ve reached out to Lectron to figure out why this is happening. I’ve ruled out it being the car charge port as it takes the charge fine from other chargers.

One other observation - the SC rates were much higher than EA on this route. Added 67KwH at SC for $27.50 and 60 KwH for $24.24 (rate is by the KwH). EA charged by the minute, so added 48KwH for $9.16. The two SC sessions lasted 27 and 26 minutes, respectively, so would have been $11.88 and $11.44 on the EA rate, so cost more than 2x to use the SC in this example. There was an EA station in the same parking lot in Nashville, so I should have used that. But I was stubborn to get this adapter to work (I realize how dumb that is in retrospect - ha).

Thanks for the real life information. I have one of these Lectron adapters that is supposed to arrive this week. I debated between this and the A2Z. Good for us to know what's working and what is not. Good luck out there!!

I have not even recieved the Lectron adapter and I have a pretty bad view of the company. Their website lists that the adapter ships in 1-2 working days. I placed an order on the 12th of June and it has not yet shipped. All Lectron has done so far is to generate a USPS shipping label - as if that counts for something. Anyone with a USPS account can generate a USPS label. When I reached out to let them know that I do not want the product as it is not going to get to me in time, they are saying

"Unfortunately we are no longer able to cancel the shipment of this order on our end since it is already processed.".

They are asking me to instead reject the delivery when USPS tries to deliver - to a mail box!

Same. I ordered on 6/10 and on 6/12 got the shipment notification. Only it's been with the "Pre-Shipment: shipping label created, USPS awaiting item" since then. No change still (just checked again):
Rivian R1T R1S Lectron vortex adapter (level 3 supercharger to CCS) IMG_73ABA4EB698A-1

Yesterday I emailed them asking them for the actual status hoping it was just crappy USPS tracking and they instead claim, "the item is in stock and your order has been assigned to our logistics partner and top of our priority list." Further down "To be transparent, we unable to provide exact ETA since it is now assigned with USPS." It is completely disingenuous given a shipping label and tracking number can be created right away. I can play the same game by going to a Kiosk and get a USPS shipping label with tracking number and not drop a package in their bin, hold onto it for days, until I actually have something to ship. It's frustrating as I ordered expecting delivery by this week hoping to have it as a backup for a road trip. At this point I won't need it when it does ship. I figure I'll get my Tesla adapter via Rivian sometime later this year. We've been fine without it over 10+ road trips (more than 8k miles while towing) and just over 31k miles.

Given tomorrow is a holiday, there's no chance of getting it by Friday morning so it seems by requesting a cancel I'm at least giving them a heads up they've lost a sale.

The good news is if the Postal Service leaves the package in your mailbox, you can simply sharpie over the label "refused/return to sender" and hand take it to a Post Office and they'll send it back. You'll want to make sure to keep the tracking to follow it back to them. The upside of them using USPS. For us it's a liability. Our region is notorious for sketchy/fraudulent USPS shenanigans (but better than FedEx for us).

Thanks for that tip on USPS return process. I would have otherwise paid for the return. By the way, this was their response when I asked about the return process - it is as if they don't care about the customer at all.

We are happy to accept the return as long as it is unused and undamaged. However, you have to cover the shipping to return it back to us. This is part of the terms and conditions of your purchase.

Please ship it to the address below so we can request for a refund:

Please let me know the tracking number as soon as the items have been shipped. We will not be automatically notified of the return, so we would like you to email us so that we can check inventory and request for a refund to be processed.
