Lee Vining RAN Charger Site showing as live!

Has anyone done the Groveland --> Lee Vining Route over 120 yet? Every time I try to plan the trip, the Rivian app sends me up over 88 (by Kirkwood) and back down 395 which is a long ways. I'm not too sure how it'd be going across 120 as that's a lot of elevation gain and loss....but WAY shorter

Groveland station should be online soon, and there is an EA station in Buck Meadows (closer to Yosemite than Groveland). With Lee Vining online now, should easily be doable.

I looked it up and it appears to be 80ish miles from Groveland to Lee Vining. I'd think it's easily do-able.

I've done the Sac Ran to South Lake Tahoe run quite a bit and those 100 miles takes about 50-55% of the the charge (Quad AT 20s here) so I'd think if you're charge to 85% it can be done.

I believe someone mentioned that new stations have a set number (20?) of free sessions for testing purposes.

Looking at my app this morning it looks like the RAN charger in Lee vining is live..
This is a game changer for us coming from the Sacramento area traveling to Mammoth.
So stoked!

I mean, Bridgeport EA has been a thing for a while and is only a few miles short of Lee Vining. Happy to see more RAN chargers, but this doesn't really open up anything new to us. That Bridgeport EA has been pretty damned solid as well (we go down to that area a LOT).

I'm fairly sure your Nav has been routing you over 88 because 120 just opened last week. Tioga pass closes for the winter every year, typically october/nov-ish to april-july-ish.
