The more I see the Limestone sample, this is the closest we have seen it on a truck. This was addressed a while back, but it is not limestone...at least not the production color. I don't have the source, but it as directly from Rivian.
Is the one on the left forest green?
yeah that's forest - limestone - launch greenIs the one on the left forest green?
well yeah, those of us who have had Limestone configured would go with it if the vehicle actually is painted the color they have been showing on the swatches but the first time Rivian shows a "picture" of it, it looks like a different shade of Launch Green. thats why there 's been such fervor over what they released. of course we need to see it in person to make final decision and maybe it is indeed whats on the swatch but what they gave us so far is way off from it.I was in Venice today so I stopped by the Hub and took some pictures of the limestone paint Swatch and then I placed it next to the other closers to see how it stacked up. What I noticed is that I was wrong on my initial impression from the last timeI was there. I remembered it as a more green version of LA Silver - it's not. It's got much less flake.
I was there around noon today and it was hard to get good clear balanced pictures with the sun and shadows coming through the skylights, but here are a few. I am definitely going with Limestone after seeing it again today.![]()

We are all well aware of the issues. Seeing the green metallic photoshop they released last week was what prompted me to stop by today. I wanted to see if they have updated or changed the swatch.well yeah, those of us who have had Limestone configured would go with it if the vehicle actually is painted the color they have been showing on the swatches but the first time Rivian shows a "picture" of it, it looks like a different shade of Launch Green. thats why there 's been such fervor over what they released. of course we need to see it in person to make final decision and maybe it is indeed whats on the swatch but what they gave us so far is way off from it.
simple exercise. take the pic of swatch you took and hold it up to the photo on the Rivian website and you'll see what i mean.
Yep. Not that I really trust anything, but I guess I'd trust the swatch more than the photoshop at this point. It would be pretty awful if they were stocking their experience centers with swatches that weren't the final paint. We honestly don't know whether the swatches accurately reflect the final color either.
It's well beyond time for us to see the finalized color on an actual vehicle.
This begs the question of why they would photoshop an R1T to be the wrong color.Yep. Not that I really trust anything, but I guess I'd trust the swatch more than the photoshop at this point. It would be pretty awful if they were stocking their experience centers with swatches that weren't the final paint.
true but up till now the swatches have accurately represented the other colors so it'd be a departure if Limestone didn't. but then again Limestone is a unicorn so its very special. We honestly don't know whether the swatches accurately reflect the final color either.

Could be...? I'm thinking it's not though. They really pumped the saturation on that video to maximize the green of all the foliage, and subsequently all the other colors. The lighting on the truck is subdued with some off colors overall. I'm thinking it's LA Silver. Unfortunately.Am I crazy... or is this Limestone on the new Rivian Tech page today?
