"Limited Connectivity" Message On App

All,

Recently I have had the above message on my Rivian app on my iPhone. Top right hand corner in the app there is a red cloud with a line through it. That message states that the Rivian is offline, but when I look on the computer screen in the Rivian it shows that it is on our WiFi. I have turned the phone off and then back on.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I get that occasionally, but I attributed it to us having several Wi-Fi hot-spots in the house and my phone and the R1T landing on different ones. When I would re-align them to be on one hot-spot, that had seemed to clear up the issue. Also, the R1T is usually in narcoleptic mode...

The soft reset has worked well. No more messages about connectivity issues. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I've done soft resets, hard resets, log outs, app re-installs. The problem always comes back. Very frustrating. Even sitting in my driveway with the R1S clearly connected to Wifi with full signal strength, it tells me it's offline. <sigh> 2 years ago i was more forgiving of this. Now, especially with 1st gen being left behind in updates, it's really frustrating.

Have the same problem, no help from Rivian
Also showing wrong Rivian location on app

Mine seems to be better with the new software update (.46 I think). It was bad with the previous software but I guess I don't need to constantly check on my truck that it bothered me that much.

Omg yes. The location is just pure junk. NEVER reads right. I don’t know what my $100/yr is covering, but apparently not this stuff. :-/

Not sure if there are various reasons for this but I can explain mine.

My router was occasionally dropping the internet connection for anywhere from 10 seconds to a couple of minutes. It seems if the Rivian was connected to my WiFi on some of the longer internet interruptions it would not reconnect when it came back up. I could turn the WiFi in the vehicle off and back on it it would connect. If I drove out of WiFi range it would reconnect when I returned as well. It seems like it only tried reconnecting for a number of tries or a specific amount of time and then stopped trying.

I replaced my router a few weeks ago, it resolved my internet dropping issue and my Rivian has not had the limited connection issue since.

I replaced my router a few weeks ago, it resolved my internet dropping issue and my Rivian has not had the limited connection issue since.
Thanks for the feedback, but not my situation. I’ve got so many monitors running. Pings, and downloads, and tests and and. Network is good. Not to mention the problems persist when I leave town and I’m on LTE with good signal. Rivian just doesn’t understand how to be online. Frustrating.

Adding to the mystery, I was at an event with the wife, and I ended up in the car watching some youtube. I was using the hotspot and casting to the screen in the Rivian. All working fine. App still showed the car offline and in the wrong location. It’s garbage.
