Listerine washer fluid?

I'm still on my factory fill of washer fluid, and whenever I use it to clean the windshield, I get the strong scent of Listerine. It does a pretty good job on the windshield, and I don't really mind the smell, but it's very strange and distinct. Did I just get lucky? What brand/manufacturer of washer fluid does Rivian use? Do you get the scent of Listerine when you use your washer jets?

No, I have not tried it yet. Maybe tomorrow.

LOL there was a whole thing about this way back when. It's General Chemistry something or other, and we were going to have a group buy of it. It is a very pleasant smell.

It’s concentrate so it makes much more than you think. I just finished the first bottle and I’ve filled it 4 times. That being said, it is much more than your typical washer fluid.

I've been using Krystal Klar concentrate and it also has a very pleasant smell and actually works really well. It's available on Amazon for way less.

I haven't bought the expensive stuff, and also haven't quite brought myself to drain my wiper fluid before service appointments in the hopes they refill it, but both have crossed my mind...

To think that all this time I thought that paying $2.99 for a jug of generic blue windshield washer fluid was outrageous. Go figure!!

I'm mildly surprised they shipped to California - most "all season" windshield washer fluid here is banned except in a few mountain counties in winter.

I highly suspect this is part of the reason that Rivians are seen as unreliable. They fill the washer fluid every time you take the vehicle in for service. Some folks are likely making up problems just to get that refill.

So if you swing by the SC they will top it off for free... Have done this with my R1T and R1S. You don't need an appointment just stop by and ask for them to top it off. Takes 15min.
