I generally just leave the fob at home and have one card in my wallet. I have the phone auto lock/unlock off as I'd just like to lock and unlock it myself when I want to. A couple of times I've locked it, left and returned to find that it's unlocked. I often leave the wallet in the truck if it's a pretty quick trip into a store and I'm going to pay with my phone.
Do you think the issue is that I am not actually locking it with the phone on occasion, or that perhaps the card key in my wallet is opening it? To add support for the latter, it will also tell me, despite the app being open when I get back into the erroneously unlocked truck, that I have to present a key to start it. So then I hold the card key to the door to get rolling.

I guess the moral of the story is don't leave the card key in the truck?

Not a normal behavior. I would put in a ticket and try to be as specific to the timeframe as possible. As far as the likelihood that the keycard unlocked it, I would say slim to none based on the location of the readers and my experience with how precise my positioning has to be while using the card/band. No for the message, this will happen when you unlock with your phone as well. If you wait too long (30 sec to 2 min? The number is in the manual) between unlocking and starting the vehicle, you'll be prompted to represent the key. This can be done as illustrated in the alert (with the key) or using the app to lock and then unlock the truck.

Go through the settings on the screen, there is one in there that I think will relock the vehicle after 2 minutes if it is unlocked and no doors open. I saw it the other day, I think it is off by default, I did not set it but did notice it.

That's a good point on the card having to be so precise. Maybe I just don't lock it but I sure don't think that's the case, and as also noted, I will look for that setting to auto-relock if no door open.
Thanks all

I leave my keycard & wallett in the truck 95% of the time and have never had that issue. Keycard 1%, key fob 5% phone 94%.

Not sure if my problem is the same or related. I've had my R1S since October, and for the last week or so it won't auto-lock. It has always worked up until last week.

(In the settings I have proximity locking turned on, as well as the auto lock after 2 min. Even with those on, it doesn't lock or record gear guard videos.)

Not sure if this issue is ties to latest update, or separate.
