Not sure which sub-forum topic this should go under so forgive my posting in the main forum.

I am in the process of gathering items to add to my R1T for purposes of off roading, camping and various other adventures.
Will be adding various accessories via the 8 circuit wireless harness sold by M&R Automotive.
(link to product here).

Am curious if others have experience with the wireless harness, what the Rivian Batteries will tolerate in terms of having extra accessories connected, and if you had any experiences around this process that you would like to share. I believe I have a game plan for it all (and will post once I have everything attached) but also now how invaluable the real-life experiences of others can be.

Will be connecting multiple lights and also a WeBoost and ham radio via the harness.

Like any 12V automotive or marine battery, it will “tolerate” it. It’s still a battery. Electrons are still electrons. The difference is whether BMS will function as designed to recharge it, as needed, with HV pack. There are ways to hedge against this failure: trickle charge it with another power source, like another power storage or solar. Aux accessory hook up, you have multiple options. Trigger 4 and Garmin are wireless for switching: meaning you don’t have to run wires past the firewall/bulk head, from connection module to switch panel. There are also tons of options that are wired, like ones Auxbeam sells. There are also generic ones, wired or wireless, that can be found on Amazon and eBay (can assume zero warranty or support).

Example of a good trickle charge solution: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/...ve-in-under-a-minute-indoor-or-outdoor.42242/

Hope you get good replies here, but there are a lot of threads on this forum you might be able to find with a search - radio, lights, horn, etc.

Thank you for the reminder. I have looked through many of those threads and gotten some really good insights from them. I know for many fo those folks it added a bit of work to make a good posting for the rest of us.

I suppose what I was looking for was less about "how do I connect this light" or radio or what not and more along the lines of "I hooked into my Gen 1's batteries and I wish I had known that **this** would happen" or other advice about their real world experiences over time. I think I was mostly seeking this out as the 12v Batteries have been such a source of headache that even though mine have been replaced I have some worry about being 500 miles in to a 3000 mile road trip and then having a 12v issue at a really inopportune moment.
