Lost Soft Sand Mode

Just picked up an R1T yesterday. Loving it so far. El Cap/forest, all terrain pack with black wheels.

One strange thing i noticed is that I lost Soft Sand mode. My delivery guide took me thru the drive modes during delivery and it was def there. Now it’s gone.

Any thoughts?

Dual-Motor AWD vehicles come with up to five drive modes:

Performance Dual-Motor AWD vehicles come with five drive modes:

Quad-Motor AWD vehicles come with ten drive modes:

I did that but it just put me in all terrain mode. No soft sand….

Yes, dual motor AWD w/ all-terrain upgrade.

Awesome. How do you do a soft reset?

• Soft Reset (Infotainment Reset) Hold the far left and far right buttons on the steering wheel for about 15 seconds. This fixes issues having to do with the screens, hotspots, Alexa not working, glitchy navigation, etc.
• Full Reset Hold the far left button on the steering wheel and the emergency flasher button for about 15 seconds. The entire computer will restart. According to Rivian support DO NOT RESET AGAIN FOR AT LEAST 1 HOUR after this procedure. There are multiple systems that may take a bit longer to fully come up after this reset.

I thought I read somewhere that they got rid of the first one, but I haven't had the necessity for that one in a while, so if nothing happens, try the second one.

i tried the soft (infotainment) reset and it worked. Soft sand is back. Thanks everyone!

I also have the Dual AT and have experienced the same issue with soft sand disappearing a couple of times. The soft reset has always worked so far to bring back soft sand. It's an annoying bug that I hope Rivian fixes soon.

Yep, still an issue. I picked up my new Dual AT today. Showed Soft Sand as an available mode. Updated to System Version 2924.27.30 this afternoon and Soft Sand disappeared. A soft reset did the trick and it showed back up. Thanks for the tip.

I haven’t had opportunity to use sand mode yet living in a rainforest, can’t wait to get to Oregon sand dunes to give it a try! Wonder if there is any closer sand to where I live (Vancouver BC)?
