May/June Deliveries Thread

I had a similar conversation with my guide today, plaid, wire or certified check works just fine. Certified check, take a pic of it and upload before mailing it works to take delivery. If you wire transfer, she did say don't do it too soon in case there's any issues with the vehicle during transit or at the service center. You have 24 hours beforehand to get it completed. Thought that was a good tip to know and makes sense.

R1S LE LG/FE, 22" bright. Preorder date of 12/3/18 with a May-June delivery window. Since I still haven't received a guide contact, I reached out via chat today. Here's what Eric told me:

"It looks like we're still on track for that May-June delivery window, which it's not uncommon to hear from your Guide within that window. Stay tuned to your email inbox for that Guide introduction email to come!"

So... R1S. FE. "Still on track" for May-June. Fingers crossed!

My guide did say she's seeing both R1T's and R1S's rolling in Normal but didn't ask further questions.

Received an email from a guide today, requesting to schedule an introductory call. Earliest date avail was Thurs. Quite pleased see progress towards delivery.

I mean, they are technically correct - we know it's not uncommon for guides and CS to keep parroting that deliveries are on track ... until they aren't, likely at the very end of the window. I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you, but I hope I'm proven wrong!

Tempted to change my R1T L.E. from Launch green to Forest green while keeping the FE green interior selection. Wonder if that would push me outside the May-June window given for the original config?

That's very odd. I hadn't seen any adventures within this delivery group.

ETA: I see now you aren't in the window the way some folks are (we got an email way back when saying this was our window for delivery), but you had a guide contact and they probably told you that you could take delivery in the next couple months?

No exact date yet but was told I would get delivery in May or June.

The thread was for folks who had those delivery windows, but it's not like it's Club 33 or anything. It just took me half a second to figure out your situation.

Ok I just got off the call with my guide Zach and I'm a little speechless...

The call was not for our R1S with order date 3/19 but for our R1T that we ordered last year!

He said that R1S deliveries wouldn't begin until July/Aug and that our OC interior would put us back further into Fall with no other info available. While I'm happy to think about getting the R1T, I'm pretty shocked as I had no expectation of this. I'm also maybe feeling a bit guilty that I'd get my vehicle before my wife's R1S and before people who ordered an R1T before me...
