I noticed moisture in the rear tail light enclosure, not a lot but clearly visible. I'm not sure if that's condensation or the seal is leaking water. I'm assuming if its condensation, its probably normal and id expect there is a vent somewhere to help it evaporate. i looked around but didn't see any visible vent on the outside. anyone know if Rivian lights are sealed tight or if there is a vent?

I had some condensation in rear center light bar shortly after delivery (similar to attached photo I borrowed from the internet). I put in a service ticket but it resolved in a few days and has not reappeared so just monitoring for now.

I've had mine replaced twice for this.

As I understand if you see moisture in their it's isn't automatically a problem but if it doesn't ever go away then it is. It's designed to be able to dry out on it's own.

I just noticed the same moisture in the rear tail light enclosure, just in the clear section below the red light.

mine was inspected and i was told its to spec. some condensation is normal and is designed to dry itself like most other vehicles. im still planning to keep an eye on it as its happening more frequently over the past month than the past year ive had the truck.

I noticed it in the clear section as well. I had Teslas that perennially had condensation, which was originally treated as a problem - my 2013 Model S taillights were replaced once - but more recently they just called it within spec and not worth doing anything about.

You just reminded me….I have a Tesla Model Y also and I’m pretty sure I saw moisture within one of the lenses but forgot all about it until this experience. Now I need to check it.

Just noticed this on my Gen1 Quad R1T (March 2023). Condensation in the clear light bar at the rear. It's probably been happening without me knowing it ... anyone know what causes it?

Right now in CO it's pretty hot during the day, but certainly does cool down considerably at night so I'm guessing moisture condensation overnight in the cooler weather and evaporating during the day. Weird that I'm not seeing it on any other lights around the car. Maybe since that light bar is made to self-dry that would imply it's not sealed, and thus moisture can get both in and out.

Thoughts?
