Does anyone in Eugene, Oregon, have a Rivian-approved NACS DC adapter that I can use over the Memorial Day weekend? I'm dragging my drive boat from Eugene over to the Deschutes and would like to have the option to charge at the Tesla supercharger in Sisters, OR. My adapter hasn't arrived yet and I'm not sure what my range will be with the boat and the R1T full of gear. I know it's a long shot, but I thought I'd give it a shot. Thanks!

For the Portland Rivian Club, I acquired 3 of the A2Z adapters and one of the Lectron for the sole purpose of club loaners. I knew rollout was going to be slow and not everyone was going to run out and buy a 3rd party, rather than waiting for the official. Eugene is close enough :) - If you are ok with using the third party option, I'd be more than happy to let you borrow one. PM me if so and I'll get you on the list and we can work out pickup/dropoff details. I actually am between Portland and Eugene.

Can I use a 3rd party adapter safely? I don't have a problem with using a 3rd party adapter if it can be done safely and without voiding my warranty. I was under the impression that using 3rd party adapters is a big no-no.

Using a third-party adapter is completely an individual choice. As for warranty, they cannot void your warranty completely by the use of any third-party accessory. The only thing they can do is shed the liability of any damage caused by using a third-party accessory like the adapter. So, that said, if something were to happen while you're using the adapter, yes you would be liable for any damages to your own vehicle and any other property. Most manufacturers have this kind of language for all sorts of things. I'm not here to sway your decision that way. Just providing some info. I can tell you for a fact that A2Z has done extensive testing on their product and meet or exceed the current UL outline and will apply for the UL certificate once it's available. Part of the benefit of nacs becoming a standard and including a UL listing, is that once the UL and SAEs are finalized as long as you're using one that is certified, they can't give you any grief about using something other than the Tesla adapter.

Anyway, if you decide that you are okay with it, just let me know and we can connect and figure it out as far as getting it to you.

Thank you for the information. I might just pick up a third-party adapter on Amazon in case I need it. Can you point me to the correct adapter? Thank you!

There is one adapter on Amazon for nacs to CCS but DO NOT BUY IT. It's only rated for a super low amperage and is poorly made.

FWIW, I don't believe the Superchargers in Sisters are compatible. At least nothing there shows up on the Rivian app. If I'm mistaken, I could meet you in Sisters with my adapter. It's only 20 minutes from my house. Assuming our schedules can accommodate.

I used the one in Sisters a week ago with A2z. It worked great.

Which Lectron adapter did you buy for supercharger access?
