Keeps powered tonneau, 4-wheel steering and steer by wire, powered frunk, which are all good.

What it loses:
- air suspension, adjustable height
- premium seats with ventilation
- rear screen
- internal outlets
- smaller steel wheels
- 7500lb towing
- locking differentials?

For a truck without a usable rear window, I'm appalled that it still doesn't have a bed camera or a digital rear view mirror. Toyota minivans have that....

It does have a rear view camera...... That shows on the single center screen and I think blocks some essential data when it's popped up? In other words, also terrible.

I cannot image anyone buying one of these. A couple of guys on my block bought them and they are both gone within two years. Just an embarrassing ride.

Yeah, it has a rear view camera, but it's on the tailgate. If the tailgate drops, there is no bed cam like the Rivian has.

And the physical rear view mirror is tiny and so utterly useless that Tesla has made it easily removable. I'm really surprised they didn't make prototype's digital rear view mirror standard.

I don't care what the price is, I would never drive one. It looks like a shiny dumpster on wheels, which is a shame because some of the tech is actually cool.

What if that 59,990 was in Japanese yen? Or Korean won?

But that would make sense. Does that sound like the Tesla SOP anymore?

At that price point, AWD, four-wheel steering, 120/240V outlets, drive-by-wire, and home backup capability that’s basically like having six Powerwalls on standby, they might move more units than Rivian. Add legitimate FSD into the mix and it’s actually a pretty compelling value… assuming you can get past the looks.

I’ve also heard it may include front and rear lockers at that price (not confirmed). The wild part? It costs just a bit more than six Powerwalls. Let that sink in. If you live out in the boonies with a serious off-grid setup, it actually makes a lot of sense.

At this point I’m half tempted to sell my Powerwalls and park one behind the RV gate ;)

My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem
My wife has this game she has played with me forever. "Would you love me if" ...

- I had no arms
- I was 3' tall
- etc

It's always - yes, if you suddenly, and inexplicably, became these things, I would very much still love you.

But if you started out that way? It would be hard to get over the initial shock.

This is how I feel about the Cybertruck. It has great tech. I am just weird enough to appreciate that the door panels are largely indestructible. But it was born hideous, and therefore, it cannot be loved.
