What did you do to keep the handle of the umbrella pulling the screen away from the windshield? I purchased but haven't been happy with the performance

Perhaps you don’t have it fitted in correctly. With the visors down the thing doesn’t move at all. There is also a Velcro strap to keep it hanging from the mirror.

I have several other vehicles for which this does not work and it is almost a perfect fit for the Rivian windshield.

You need to be sure you position it close to the glass before opening it up.

I'll give it another shot thanks! I opened it and then put it against the windshield. Fit well but even with the visors down it made an air pocket where the handle pulled it away which would have reduced efficacy.

It's not. It happens, at least with USPS, as they sometimes deprioritize tracking updates just to get the package moving, but this one might be lost. Please can you reach out to support, I gave them a heads-up, but things will go faster if I'm not entirely in the support loop

We got the R1S samples (for molding) at the weekend. It also confirms that the compass emblems on the B pillars are different to the one on the frunk. It takes some time to work through the design and prototyping process, but still hoping for late August.

Car washes won't be a problem, we've had them on our truck for ~6 months now, and it gets washed weekly, no issues. We've been making emblems for 8+ years now, so this isn't a new concept for us

I just installed my emblems, black with the yellow accents. They look great, hard to tell they aren't factory besides being the wrong color from factory. These are the emblems the RC R1T should have came with.

I got the whole kit including the adhesive remover and the fishing line. It made taking the factory badging off relatively painless even on the hood ornament that had a ton of leftover adhesive on it.

I had the vinyl covers to black out my emblems before and that was a total waste of money compared to this product. Also the included templates in foam took out the part I was most concerned with, making sure the letters were spaced and turned all correctly. The kit includes everything you need to do a top notch job and was shipped quickly and packaged well.

This is the second thing I've bought from AO, I got the matte screen protection, and both kits were top notch from the packaging to the included installation materials to the quality of the kits themselves. If you're on the fence about AO I would totally say go for it.

I have not been paid or compensated in any way for this review im just really happy with the kit.

No - you thread the cable(s) through, and if you want to gain access below, the easiest way is to just hinge it forward. Here's a bad photo of me doing that:
