Any predictions or thoughts on how the Premium and Standard versions of the R2 will drive and ride? Goes without saying the Performance trim will have better ride handling and comfort but how much better? Would like to know if it’s worth the cost to get the Performance trim with semi active suspension.

When I did the demo drive I couldn’t really feel a noticeable difference between firm and soft on the ride feel. Granted it was a 30 min drive on local streets so not a lot of hard corners and rough roads where I’d imagine it makes more difference. Guess we need to test drive it ultimately to know the difference but thought some might have some logical guesses here.

What do you think?

I would expect the non-adaptive system to be tuned much more like the soft, which will mean a comfortable ride but more body roll in corners.

If you never drive in "Sport" you probably wouldn't miss it is my prediction.

Not sure if the specification of the suspension has been laid out other than semi-active which really doesn't say anything except it's capable of changing how it behaves.

I would want to know is it active preload, dampening and/or rebound along with how often it samples the action to adjust itself.

The Premium version also gets active damping. The standard does not. So Premium ride should be about the same as Perfromance. Also, fewer drive modes in the Premium.

Hmm, according to the builder on the website - only the performance comes with the semi active dampers. Not the premium.

My apologize. I thought it was included on Premium. Maybe they changed that recently? I was originally going for Premium, but then decided to go with the LE Performance. Could have sworn it showed the active damping in the past.

Biggest reason I'm getting a Performance is the Active dampers. It's a huge benefit in ride quality.
Half the horsepower would be enough for me

The premium would have enough power for me. It is the how different is the ride quality going to be between the semi-active and passive suspension setup Is what I am most interested in.
