Anyone bring a tape measure and able to get dimensions of the lower part of the frunk, below the removable floor?
Like depth or xy? It’s approximately the exact same size under the false floor as above minus a lip that supports the false floor. Could probably fit three full paper grocery bags in the bottom alone.

Best part was initiating launch control. My guide told me to stomp down on the break pedal. Then stomp on the gas pedal. He did a countdown and then I released the break…it was blisteringly fast for going up hill, on AT tires, while worrying about turns.
I've seen a few videos (most?) Where it appears the driver didn't do this, resulting in some pretty big lag and what seems like a slow start. Wonder if that addresses different experiences.

Could be. I didn’t hold the brake pedal down before pressing on the accelerator. However, I don’t hold the brakes down in my Tesla either :)

One more detail, going down the “steep” hill before returning to the parking lot, we were told that the Rivian should hold the vehicle around 3mph but it quickly went to 5mph when I ended up using the actual brake pedal.

In the end, I still plan on getting one although I now also have a deposit on the Cyber Truck if that says anything.

i keep going back to it and thinking about how much it reminds me of Land Rover.

I am interested in both XY and depth. Trying to determine what size electric cooler might fit in the frunk, especially with REI's November sale coming next week.

Haha, yeah I had the same thought.
I noticed the speed going down hill as well In a video. How full was the battery?

definitely remind me of a mix of LR, Volvo, and Tesla.

As mentioned above - about 80/85% looking at the little battery on the dash.

I am at the Sonoma event now and I’ll post picture later, but I am seriously concerned about back seat leg room. I am 6’2” and with the front seat in a comfortable driving position for me and approximately in the middle of the seat range, my knees at solidly in contact with the front seat when sitting in the back. I hate to be that guy, but I don’t understand how anyone says the back seat is roomy.
The most honorable Tall person test, right there with ya.

6'4" here...hmmm...well it'll be nice when we're driving. ? Luckily I'm the tallest out of our friend-group, and our pack of four dogs are usually in the back seats, so shouldn't be that big of a deal for us. If I'm ever not driving, guess I'll be passed out in the bed. Or as I'm sure you're familiar with, the sit behind the short person game?!?

Hope the inside of the Tonneau is a little forgiving. ?

Had my wife (5',11") and I chose to procreate our brood may have had issues, unless the recessive genes kicked in from either side. My sister's 5",1" and my MIL is a wee one as well. ?

I’ll be in Sonoma in a week and a bit, finagled my way in to the first mile thing. Bringing tape measure. ?

Bear in mind that at 6'2" you're in the 96th percentile for height. So that's the short answer. (And that's only for men!)

I'm 6'4" and the reasonably sized car that will allow two people my size to sit front-to-back with no compromises is a rare beast indeed.

One of the unfortunate lessons of life is that things can be "roomy" and still cramped for me ?

I am in the same boat unfortunately. I have learned the hard way that essentially nothing available today in the compact SUV or truck market affords the ability to put a rear facing car seat behind my seat in a comfortable driving position.

Awesome. Thanks.

What's going on in the tents? Any merch? Any food trucks or beverages? Trying to figure out if we should eat ahead of time. I'm also planning to bring my dogs. Don't see any in the pics but doesn't look like it's not dog friendly.
Yes on merch... got my Rivian cap and sweat... and free pins (maybe with purchases); but not too many choices. They had drinks, snacks and fruits; nothing like a main meal. Didn't see anything dog friendly and not sure if you can test drive with a dog. However, they had the nicest portable restrooms I have seen.
