I just got all 5 windows tinted. I found the cabin to be quite warm in sunny Colorado and expect this to help a lot.

I recall Kyle saying something along the lines of the cabin got hot in his testing. I couldn't get away with driving locally with such a noticeably tinted windshield but am interesting in that 70 ish percent ceramic tint that's supposed to help more with heat rejection.

I just picked my truck up yesterday with full front PPF (hood, fenders, mirrors, door handles, bumper and the lower silver plastic trim plate). Did 8 mil thick on front because of the significant square frontage and did the silver trim plate in satin. $2100 total here in AZ at OZBraz, who have done all my vehicles.

Need to decide on which tint (mainly ceramic UV) brand to use......and possibly since I'm in the desert my first-time ever front windshield clear UV tint, but the front must be polarized sunglasses friendly (no waves or distortion). Any ideas on the tint Team Rivian?

Just got the call my truck is done and ceramic is curing! Paint correction, PPF on front, C.quartz finest on the outside including wheels, and interior coating. I'll be picking it up Monday afternoon and posting before& after pics!

Is there a TLDR of the *best* ceramic coating to use?

For context, historically I pay my kids to wash my car once a year even if it doesn’t *need* it and they’re little and start with the wheels and go up… That said, I’m willing to spend an hour or two at first delivery to spray/buff/whatever it in to the finish. Car would be garage kept but I live 1mile down a dirt/gravel road.

^i’m only 50% joking in the above. Cars are usually washed twice a year but i am 100% worried about the flat front of an EV getting above average impact/wear.

Have you considered/discussed Xpel Prime CS 88 for your windshield? I'll have mine back tomorrow, along with Exoshield on the outside. With those two sandwiching the windshield, UV should be all but knocked out. The professional and personal opinions I've heard also tell me this combo should have little, if any, low-angle haze.

If I can pry myself out of my truck before midnight after picking it up at around 2 PM, I'll let you know tomorrow. Hopefully, the Sun will come out to tell the whole story. All of my sunglasses are polarized, so I should be able to weigh-in on the wavy gravy/oil slick effects, as well as any haziness. I'm not sure photographs will do it justice, but I'll try to get some good ones.

Please everyone, pray for sunshine here tomorrow!

You're very welcome! After having LASIK surgery over 20 years ago, and again six years ago, it drives me nuts to have anything smudging my vision! I'll be interested in seeing how the Exoshield appears, or better yet, doesn't appear when looking forward.

Bump trolling for update from DT on the Exoshield. Moar pictures would be a bonus.

Please and thanks.

For those of you that have ceramic UV coating on the windshield/roof glass... what, if any maintenance or restrictions are there? (Can you run it through a car wash..?)

PPF Front clip, ceramic coating all around plus ceramic tint (20%) fronts and the rest 70%, roof wasn't touched.

Seeing your lift in the picture, I have a question. I have a similar lift and the R1T is much longer that the pad area. Have you lifted your truck yet? Exactly where do you place it for center of mass? Is there any harm to any of the under body armor plates? Sorry, that ended up being three questions.

From Early October, forgot to post here.

So ended up finally have time to do my own paint correction and Ceramic Application. GW is a interesting beast as its very hard to find/see swirls but also you need a massive amount of light to see imperfections. I counted probably 6 small pieces of contaminants in the clear that would require some wet sanding.

Needless to say while I can do it, I won't be doing it, I just went with a ultra conservative with a fine pad and fine polish and got about 80% of imperfections maybe more but its so hard to tell I doubt anyone can see besides my self with a LOT of light.

Started off with a proper wash/coffee
