Yes. I want R3x or R3. There is no point in R1S and R2S.Current Lightning, Model 3 owner. Kicking the Model 3 to the curve and picking up an R2.
If they every get reservations up I will get an R3X also
? 1. Yes, it will have a hitch. 2. You're on my team in a survival contest.I'm in on the R2.
I have been wrestling with the short distance between the two roof racks. Concerned about my long kayak being held by roof racks placed too close together.
I've been trying to find out if the R2 is going to have a trailer hitch. In all likelihood it is, but I have not found any mention of it. My thinking was to mount one of those T frame supports in the trailer hitch.
Then, I thought of an idea that might also work. Take a rope. Form a loop. Throw the loop around the back end of the yak. Attach two lines to the loop, one leading the rack on the right side and one leading to the rack on the left side. This A-shape would work against a strong cross or angled wind trying to torque the kayak out of the mounts.
The bottom line is that I think I have two different solutions to the one issue that I had coming out of the reveal.
With my spot in the line assured, I will now spend the next two plus years meditating on the meaning of life or some other deep subject.
