Update: After a week I finally picked up my truck this afternoon. Unfortunately they did not install the new skinny slats. The new hardware however does seem to move much smoother than before so time will tell how well they hold up.

Update on mine: Dropped off Friday, they finished it Monday. I think it took a few hours - was told they couldn’t get to it on my drop off day (grrr). Got the large slat v1.5 as expected.

Funny, I couldn’t wait to get it installed. Now I have apprehension whenever I think about opening it. Doh!

Nice fit on the V2 tonneau! About 1/8" clearance with the generator's rubber feet strategically placed in the bed grooves. Overall V2 tonneau clearance on my Gen 2: 16.75" from bottom of bed grooves; 16.5" from top of bed ridges.

Use it as much as you need to. If it is going to fail, you want it to fail within the warranty period. If (when) it does, maybe you'll get the new version PTC. I am only 20,000 miles (about a year) from the end of my warranty period. I am scheduled to have it replaced next week. I am more afraid of it not failing within the next year, than I am afraid of it failing. It might just last long enough to get me beyond the warranty period.

I’m scheduled on April 18th to get my missing power tonneau cover installed in Denver. They told me to expect 3 hours. They say I’m getting the latest V1 design and that the new roller V2 is not an option at this time.
I tried to schedule a PTC installation for my missing PTC (Mine didn’t come with one). I was told by Rivian support I couldn’t until it showed up in the Gear Shop for order. Is the tech misinformed?

Did you pay for it at delivery?

I don't know @ForeverWild. In my case I purchased a demo 2023 with ~150 miles. The Monroney label stated the vehicle had a PTC but it wasn't installed (like a lot of R1Ts at the time). When I took delivery they gave me a Due Bill that stated I was owed the PTC. I requested service in the app and they called me to schedule the install.
