There was a couple of times that I pressed and held the brake while manually adjusting the height when the vehicle was in park... I can hear some noises from the wheels and feel small movements of the vehicle after released the brake..

Does it do any harm to the drive system or the suspension?

I haven’t tried this specifically but when at a traffic light or stopped position just after coming out of kneel mode the vehicle adjusts. I have heard a slight creaking noise. I thought someone mentioned this may be brake related. Can someone confirm?

No, it always makes noises while adjusting. They designed it to go up and down and go into kneel mode as often as you need it to.

I do this all the time when putting trailers on and off to avoid having over crank the trailer jack, I raise up to high, lower the jack so it touches the ground, lower the height and the trailer pops right off.

No need to hold the brake though, auto hold is sufficient.

In my experience, it doesn't adjust height well with your foot on the brakes

When the vehicle raises and lowers its ride height, the suspension isn't perpendicular to the ground. It's at an angle. If you hold the brake, you're preventing the wheels from moving slightly and forcing the vehicle to adjust its height in-place. This means your suspension will take up the slack, and cause your breaks to creak and moan until you release them and allow the vehicle to settle in its natural position.

Yes as the vehicle lifts it changes the relative distance between the wheels slightly as the height isn’t evenly adjusted (it does front and back separately). This can cause some “rubbing” of the brakes even in Hold mode. I wouldn’t worry about it. They’d disable this if it hurt the vehicle or suspension.

I don't press brakes while suspension adjusts. If it auto adjusts while brake hold is active, I press the go pedal a bit to move an inch or so. I might look like those stupid drivers who keep moving at the light ?

Like most things, if whatever your doing sounds shitty or doesn't feel right, then don't do that thing.

Same, do this any time you manually adjust ride height. Your "footprint" changes as the camber changes, pressure will build on different parts unless you help release it.
