All, while I knew about Jose's site before creating this thread I did not know he already created a excellent way to submit and track the feature requests. Please submit on his site at

https://rivian.software/wish/

I am going to move the requests that have been submitted here to the site above. Thank you all for the awesome feedback but Jose has a much better way to do this!

1) PIN to drive
2) streaming video function while in park (eg YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, etc)
3) Remote viewing (via app) gear guard cameras.

Additional Adds:
4) Odometer with tenths as a constant on the driver screen.
5) Trip odometers on driver screen: four would be nice.
6) Directional lines on camera screen when moving forward.
7)Elevation listed on display somewhere
8) Provide an option for night screen mode where main screen turns off after a preset time other than the bottom icons to make it less distracting at night.
9) Screen mirroring from phone so we can stream whatever app is playing on my phone.
10) Luxury Drive mode. This would be great for road trips to make the suspension super soft and compliant for road trips.
11) Active noise cancellation using the stereo
12) USB Audio
Playback
13) Wheel and tire selection in the settings menu.
14) Simulated lockers.
15) Enable switching between All-purpose and Drift or Rally without going slow first.
16) cameras come on when the proximity sensors are triggered at low speed
17) Blind spot camera when turn signal engaged (similar to Hyundai/Kia/Tesla)
18) cruise control resume previous set speed
19) icon in display when wireless charging actively engaged (it's hard to see on the phone if it's actually charging when you're, you know... Driving)
20) altimeter
21) axe map box, use Google
22) apps. Waze, perhaps?
23) Automatic Blended braking, similar to what Tesla will do; apply brakes automatically when regen is cut off. Would love to see improved regen abilities as well
24) Apple CarPlay (I know, it’ll never happen)
25) Better PAAK auto-unlock performance (benchmark Tesla, please!)
26) Allow lane changes when using Driver+. In our Kia for instance, when using HDA, if you put on turn signal it’ll allow you to change lanes, then auto center to the new lane, all without having to turn anything off. This would be a great baby step to auto lane changes, which I know takes a lot more development.
27) Trailer backup assist (more for lining up the hitch)
28) Allow driver+ when towing. Benchmark BlueCruise for how it adjusts your blind spot indication when towing as well
29) Add web browser
30) Add Apple Watch support, and widgets. Allow Siri to control app/vehicle functions.
31) Allow fog lights to be on standard. But also allow fog lights to be on independent of headlights.
32) Add setting to be able to change the 12V activation to be when vehicle is fully “on” versus when it is woken up
33) Allow all vehicle settings to be unique for each driver profile (eg. Kneel mode, auto high beams, etc). Also allow unique logins for each app per driver profile (benchmark Tesla here)
34) Allow pinning of quick icons to bottom of screen
35) full off-roading menus (angles, etc) similar to what Jeeps have had for years.
36) Allow more customization of the driver screen; even making unique layouts per drive mode would be nice
37) Add more options to the rear screen. If hardware would allow it, would love to have it be a true third zone for climate control
38) Remember heated/cooled seat/wheel settings from previous drive.
39) More energy use data. Allow more past data tracking for each drive trip (or at least upload the data to our Rivian cloud/app)
40) Assuming that the front fog lights can be individually controlled, add an option to use them as cornering lamps to come on with turn signal use or when turning the steering wheel beyond a certain point at low speeds.
41) Improve the behavior of adjusting to a memory seat setting by always doing the movement that expands space before doing the movement that reduces it. For example, when the seat is positioned high and far back but moving to low and far forward, move the seat down BEFORE moving it forward to avoid the trash compactor effect. When doing the opposite repositioning, move the seat back BEFORE moving it up.
42) Flip the perspective on the AC screen to show the seats, with a semi translucent dash. So you can see what you're aiming the vents at.
43) Add a Low/No regen option (To Mimic ICE vehicle), with regen only engaging upon braking.
44) Somehow address the issue where the car turns off because nobody is in the driver's seat, for example when loading kids in the 2nd row or standing outside the car talking.
45) Bigger more intuitive lock all doors button when at Park for safety over riding card, key and phone app. Especially for when parked charging at night at chargers. Safety please.
46) Apple CarPlay/Android Auto Support
47) PIN to unlock display, frunk, gear tunnel, gear guard cables. Keep the nav locked behind the display PIN so prowlers can't see my Home location.
48) Stargazing mode - illuminate dim red lights on exterior light bar and interior screen
49) Auto-change ride height at preset locations, e.g. always raise to High as I approach a particular park entrance
50) Setting to disable wireless phone charger pad
51) Customizable AC presets for fan orientation, temperature, intensity, etc.
52) Customizable location based charging amperage presets.
53) clock on steering wheel display
54) if I put the steering wheel where I want it then I can't see the speedometer or the icons across the top of the drivers screen. Would really, really like to be able to shift that information elsewhere on the driver screen or move it to the left side of the main screen.
55) At highway speeds I can't hear the turn signal. I've never had this problem in any other car I've owned. Giving a few choices of different sounds to choose from would presumably fix that.

Elevation listed on display somewhere. This is an adventure vehicle and we do go up in elevation.

1. Update All-Purpose Mode on quad motors to include Conserve which should boost range just like Dual Motor

2. Provide an option for night screen mode where main screen turns off after a preset time other than the bottom icons to make it less distracting at night.

3. Screen mirroring from phone so we can stream whatever app is playing on my phone.

4. Luxury Drive mode. This would be great for road trips to make the suspension super soft and compliant for road trips.

5. Active noise cancellation using the stereo

#1 probably not possible due to the design of the quad motor system. They have to have the seperate conserve mode (manual conserve mode). Otherwise i think they would have made that part of the system as they did for DM. With the couplers i don't think they are able to provide a seamless transition on quad.

I have read lots of people saying this but I don’t understand why. Here is my logic.
If I can select Conserve mode by pressing a screen then this is computer function that actuates a link for the rear motors. If this can selected by the driver then it could just as easily be selected by the computer’s logic when it meets the right criteria. I don’t understand how this can’t be done if I can check it and uncheck it as will manually.

The function shouldn't be used during acceleration so the computer would have to have future knowledge of what you are going to do. The design in the dual motor can be used under acceleration.

On the quad-motor it's a dog clutch system vs the dual-motor where it's a ring gear. The dog clutches aren't designed to be operated repeatedly in an automated mode, especially while accelerating, like the ring gear mechanism in the dual-motor.

This is my understanding of it too. Rivian of course doesn't provide any technical details but i was told by a service advisor conserve is not meant to be used when driving in town stop and go. It's mostly designed for highway driving where less power and torque are needed.

Also, because the truck is so heavy excessive wear on the front tires would probably occur in town. I suppose that's why Rivian made DM keep the rear engaged below 20 mph.

If it is a clutch setup that isn’t meant for constant engaging and disengaging I can understand that.
The other reasons don’t make sense. The car will know faster than any human if it is accelerating and can engage and it’s just as easy to program it can only be used above a certain speed or even when the GPS puts it on a highway that is 55mph +. My wife’s Acura MDX sport hybrid has the rear wheels engaged with electric motors and only engage if it senses slipping or for additional acceleration. Toyota hybrid SUV’s work similarly as well. All of this is done nearly instantaneously and without any user input.
There clearly is a reason and maybe mechanical is the limiting factor. With as much tech that’s on the car they could figure it out I have to believe.

1. Wheel and tire selection in the settings menu.
2. Simulated lockers.
3. USB Audio. Take the easy route and just have the truck be a USB audio device on one of the ports.
4. Enable switching between All-purpose and Drift or Rally without going slow first.

It would be great to have the the option to have the cameras come on when the proximity sensors are triggered primarily during low speeds (tight parking lots, drive thru lanes double parked trucks (yes NYC I'm looking at you). Drove a Polestar 2 and this was the default and extremely useful in a small vehicle. I would find this essential use in Rivian sized vehicles.
