How about the use of Driver+ on long drives? I find that other distance measuring and steering autopilots are not as “efficient” on the pedal and therefor range as I am…

Have any of you set Driver+ on a long highway drive and verified the range?

My trip was 5100 miles, I would get on the freeway in all purpose, once on switch to conserve and used driver+ it was mapped on maybe 80% of my route.

Always took out of driver+ and went back to all purpose just before exiting the highway. Using conserve like that seemed to be fine on the tires, I checked them when I got home and rotated them.

I just got my R1S and want to experiment with this. I can consistently get better mileage on my ICE truck in hilly driving without cruise control. On relatively flat roads it makes little difference. I suspect that the R1S will be similar.

Got the text this morning that my R1S is finally ready for delivery!!

I have some 200+ mile trips coming up and I wanted to know what people’s experiences have been.

I always hear that you should only charge to 80%, but if I have to go 292 miles with my family, would I make it if I charge to 100%?

I was looking for a range calculator for the R1S, but didn’t find anything good.

What is the range at 80%?
Top off to 100%. Should be no issue but depending upon weather, headwind, mountains, hvac etc. If you feel uncomfortable, slow down slightly. 200 miles with 100% should be no issue
