R1S not sleeping after update

2025 R1S stays awake and does not enter sleep mode. It just updated to 2025.18.30 last night.

I’ve tried soft and hard resets with no luck. Nothing is in seats and seat belts are not buckled. Screens are all off, but the door opener switch lights are on. The hazard and SOS button are also illuminated on the overhead console. Unlocking proximity is turned off at home.

Anyone else experiencing this issue? Any other ideas I should try?

Did you try driving it around for a little while to get it to fall asleep? That always worked with my kids ...

Seriously, putting it thorough a drive cycle might help.

I'm having the same issue with our R1S

Prior to the update I noticed my Gen 1 R1S sleep/wake cycles were longer than usual, just yesterday, 19/20hours each!

I updated around 7:30PM. After 11PM the cycles reduced to 13, 8, and now 6hrs.

Update- vehicle finally did enter sleep cycle yesterday evening after being awake for 14 hours.

Not sure if it’s coincidence, but I reached out to Rivian to set up a service appointment. They were able to see that vehicle wasn’t showing the latest update on their end, even though it did on my app and on R1S. Shortly after speaking with Rivian, vehicle entered a sleep cycle and it’s been working normally since.

I had the same concerns. Mine has been staying awake for a while over the last few days. Maybe they started getting insomnia?

Something is clearly happening. I used to check this often during our vampire drain discussions and stopped. I checked yesterday and noticed the 19/20 hrs.

Hello - I didn't know you can track how long your vehicle is staying awake for X amounts of hours.
Can you point to me in the screen where it says that? I'm curious about my own vehicle now.

I use the Home Assistant app along with the Rivian Integration Repository or ElectraFi for Rivian (TeslaFi).
