R1S thinks liftgate is open

After mobile service came out and seems to have fixed the issue of the liftgate not opening when parked on a decline, a new issue has developed about 72 hours later.

The system thinks that the liftgate is open when it is closed and latched. It closes when the button is pushed and engages the latch. It is not ajar and cannot be opened by just lifting it - you have to press the button to open it - which also works fine now. But the system thinks it's still open when it is 100% closed.

So the vehicle won't lock on its own because it thinks something is still open.

Anyone deal with this issue and have a fix?

Did it act up again after being in the sun? Locate the latches and lubricate them with a dry lube, open and close a few times.

Have this problem as well and need to open a ticket. I have noticed if you open and close the lower tail gate and then close the the trunk it seems to fix it. Obviously not how it should work.
