I have had my R1T for a year now and 12,000 miles with no issues up to this point. Today, while driving, the Truck displayed almost every error code and limited my speed to 20 mph. Once I pulled over, the break pedal felt like it would not depress normally and the car would no longer let me put it in drive at all.

After multiple hard resets and a call to service, the car is set to be towed tomorrow morning to the service center. Has something similar happened to someone here? What was it?

Uploaded to the latest a few days ago. I have driven it a few times since the update without an issue.

I have seen at least one other post that sounded very similar. Sorry this happened to you and I hope Rivian figures it out fast.

Yeah, things could be worse it happened in basically an ideal situation. We still love the truck. Our Tonneau cover even works still!

not sure, but based on the most common problems it could be a 12V power issue OR drive unit failures. I'm not sure if the 12V issue has hit people while driving - but I'm sure someone will weigh in if it has.

Hope you are able to get it fixed quickly.

It’s 1700xx. On the early side for sure.

Curious if you put in park yourself, or did it do it automatically once you stopped? Just trying to be ready for how it behaves, should it happen to me. Sorry for your challenge on this...

It initially let me drive at 20 mph max. Lucky for me I was just in my neighborhood so I pulled over and parked it. I did place it in park myself. Now the break pedal just feels very firm with no play in it at all.

My first reaction on reading user's account is that it could be the brake line sprung a leak and the fluid drained out.

Having had that joyful experience in my Tacoma, I can report that the brake pedal does hit a hard spot when depressed. But, the difference might be that I was able to depress the pedal a certain distance before hitting the hard spot.

Sounds like user's pedal doesn't move at all.
