R1T Gen 2 ordered July 23rd

Hi! Been looking/dreaming of a Rivian for 2 years and finally ordered my R1T over a month ago and it is still processing estimate for delivery. Is this expected until about a month out from delivery? My Tacoma is getting weary and hope the Rivian arrives before it dies..... Anyone have any updates on the R1T gen 2 deliveries?

Gen 2 R1T have been in the Shop for a few weeks now. Usually these are built already and it only takes no more than 3-4 weeks for delivery.

There should be some people with confirmed delivery dates coming up soon.

Curious, did you order the Dynamic glass roof? I got a call on my order saying it will be a little later than expected because I ordered that option. Wonder if that is what is happening here?

I did choose a dynamic glass roof, so thanks for that bit of info. When did you submit your custom build? If I create the same custom build in the shop - it now says deliver in 1-6 weeks. and Sept/Oct delivery. Hopefully a little later is truly little - being patient and know the wait will be worth it!

I put my reservation in on June 6th. They called me early last week and asked if I wanted to change from the Dynamic roof to get it sooner. I said no, I want the roof. So they said it will be a little later. My estimated delivery hasn't changed from the original September - October

FWIW a friend took delivery of their Gen 2 R1T today. Standard range, no dynamic glass. According to the service center this was their second Gen 2 R1T delivery. So they are out there!

My understanding is that the Dynamic Glass Roof is not an option for the R1T Standard because of the energy that it requires when in use. It is only available with the larger batteries.

Question: How hot does the interior of the R1T get with just the standard panoramic sunroof. Can anyone comment on that? Would the Dynamic Glass Roof have helped? Is it worth the $1,500 add-on?

I have watched several YouTube videos on long-term R1T ownership and the consensus seems to be that it's not missed.

The silence from Rivian Sales/Delivery people is most definitely crazy-making. I had similar experiences when I submitted an order for a specific combination. Not a word post-order, and actually I made several appointments to speak directly with a rep and they didn't make it to the appointments either. I ended up going with a similar config that was in the Shop already and I will pick it up this Sunday.

I ordered 3 days after yours (July 26), same Sept-Oct delivery window, “processing estimate” holding pattern, called them 10 days ago and they said that there is a VIN and thus I should hear more “soon”. Yes, also specd the dynamic roof. White w the black wheels looks great, was torn between that and red canyon w black sport wheels. Will likewise post when I hear more.

Just got more clarity on my July 26 order, namely that it is in assembly and looking to be available to me in SSF Nov 24ish. Not sure of your exact build but I almost grabbed a white with black like yours from online stock. Perf dual max. That would be available in SSF Nov 9. Sticking w my red with black order. Found the delivery reps to be extremely helpful just needed to run thru the first layer call center gauntlet to get to them. I requested a “sales person” and quickly got a call back from a rep that had access to more info.

Hi! I ordered my 2025 R1T Performance Dual Max 24-JUN-2024. I got a call and an email 16-OCT-2024 that my vehicle had been produced, would be put on a train to Florida and I could expect to take delivery the second week of November.
I'm beyond excited that it's on its way.

We ordered our R1T-Large with Dynamic Glass on Sept. 28 with the "Delivery September - October 2024" notice. The order changed from "Reserved" to "Order Accepted" on October 7, but we have not heard any further from Rivian. I did a chat late last week and got the "We have no updates to share; a representative will contact you once something changes" reply.

Last week, there were a flood of R1T-Large configurations that hit the sales portal, but none were close to the configuration we ordered. That got my hopes up that the assembly line was cranking out the large and ours would be coming soon. I hope this does not push much past November. I have a 2019 Nissan Frontier that has some decent vehicle equity in it (NOW) that we hope to use to offset the lease deposit.

Ok - Update on my Rivian R1T Large - When it rains it pours here is the chain of events the past couple of weeks. I ordered on July 23. I've checked in with the associate who took me on my test drive and walked me through the truck every month. On October 17th - Checked in again via text and he had no access to any information regarding the Rivian. So I took Clif4rds ( see post above) advice and made a phone call to Rivian where no information about by truck was available and was told that the Models with the Large battery packs have not been produced yet and he would have a sales person call me within 48 hours - one hour later I got a call from sales who had no additional information other than my order was definitely confirmed. On Tuesday AM ( October 22nd ) I get a text telling me I can schedule deliver of my vehicle. At the same time the Rivian shop shows serveral large options. So - after waiting for the timeframe I expected, even though there was no information for me - I am taking delivery this week ! So - hang in there, seem as if you were told Oct/Nov or Nov/Dec - you should be on track to take possession of your Rivian! ?
