Thoughts on how much cargo space would be available in the R2? I don't think any official specs have been released. We will need as a family hauler with at least 35 cubic feet with no seats folded and at least 65-75 with second row folded down. Want to make sure this going to be considered a true mid-size SUV and if it's worth the wait. I'm excited about it and have put in a reservation the day of but don't want to anxiously wait for something that may be too small.

Maybe for those that have seen it in person do you feel it's more like an Explorer, Acadia, Santa Fe, type size? Didn't want to spend the cash on an R1 since its more of a large full-size SUV. The R1 has 46 cubic feet with third row down and 88 with both rows down. Way too big for our needs.

The vehicle is sized more RAV4 rather than Highlander and the R1 measurements you quote are only about a third bigger than you want - so not way bigger.

RAV4 has 37 and 69 cubic feet of cargo space. And the R2 is 4-5 inches longer so you are right in the ballpark you are looking for.

Don't sleep on the extra storage space in the front trunk compared to your current ICE vehicles.
