Doesn't the R2 have a whole new OS, not based R1? It would make sense that some features are still pending.

So… complain to iHeart and convince them to serve their customers better? Must every problem be Rivian’s?
Yes. I have a cat with terrible aim and goes on the side of the litter box instead of in it.... RJ is going to hear about this.

Mine went outside of his box twice today. But he is old and unwell.

I found it interesting that the R2 does not have knee airbags. They should have kept those given they’re included in the R1 line.

I get cost saving arguments but why compromise on safety gear?

If the smaller car is engineered and tested/verified to prove it isn't necessary to meet the same safety standards, why add unnecessary cost? You're assuming it isn't as safe without it, without proof that is indeed true. IIHS report has yet to be released.

I would have liked to see an aux jack in of some sort. Maybe they have plans to offer something that works with that usb-c port in the glovebox though. Could be a good use of it.
that one is curious, isn’t it? “For future use”

Probably Gear Guard.
It's the obvious answer, so that's why I am hopeful that it isn't limited to that. Maybe I should grab all my "strange" usb-c devices and see what happens.

TBH, I wouldn't mind having that job. Structured. Predictable. And based on facts rather than arbitrary opinion.
Facts? More like the programmers hopes and dreams of what they will deliver. Tech writers are practically all writing the documentation before the software ships. At least that was my experience as a tech writer.

Yes, except that cars are being delivered now. It's an odd thing that is maybe becoming "normal" with OTA and SDV. Like getting a car that won't have the back seats installed for another few months 😂

Who said they don’t have knee airbags? Everything I’ve researched says they do. Standard equipment these days.
