The camouflage wrap is really nice! This is a change from the usual black and white ones.

You could see a potential spot for Lidar in the earlier picture of the body going into the e-coat dip

Certainly looks like that depression could hold something alright...

that rear (c-pillar) looks wonky and missing a trim piece
I think that's because it's in the middle of wrapping the car. It's common practice to loosen (or remove) various trim pieces to properly tuck wraps around edges.

Anyways, this is exciting. I'm glad they are getting test units out there. It's another step to full production.

I've said before that I'm likely to cancel my R2 reservation but I've been slowly rethinking it. I may just trade my R1T for the R2.
Exactly what I'm going to do. Love the R1T but its now really my wife's commuter and she doesn't need a truck for that. I'm also hoping as its a Rivian for Rivan exchange that we'll get a half decent trade in from them. Plus I'mactually really excited about the R2.

I would consider that wrap for a production model

Looks like they've got the Halo Roller Haptic System on this prototype's steering wheel

It's not a sensor at all. Look at the tape that runs centerline. There is nothing there at all.

The 'sensor' you see is just a gap on the side of the upper trim that will be covered by the applique just like in the R1.
Tape isn’t in the center line it’s a bout a third in. Look at the dip in the windshield glass at the top.

I wonder if the standard camera/sensor module will go in that space, then with windshield replacements no need for recalibration. Highly doubt it's going to have Lidar....maybe as an option down the road.
