2027 Rivian R2 Launch Editiion
I think I’m in the same boat as you. I agree the graphic shows cancel on the left, open on the right. I guess their interpretation is you push from the right (going left) as if in the R1 series you push the right button.

Seems counterintuitive to me, but as long as I know now I guess it is ok. 🤷🏻
Yeah, and when I pushed to the right, which was toward a garage door icon (I think), nothing happened. I had to go to the garage section and open from there.

I wonder if this is my first experience with the "the halo wheels are a bit finicky" thing that I've read in reviews? Scrolling up and down is a no-brainer. Hard to mess that up or not be on the same wavelength as the Rivian engineers. But clicking in or from behind (yet to do that), or pushing left or right, might require a bit more finesse. More of a "it works if you do it this way vs that way thing?"

It's easy enough to test. I finally noticed the prompt when I pulled out of my garage. Worst case, I'll look like a lunatic backing in and out of my garage, closing and opening the door to reset the cycle, as needed.

There is no need to hold either like the R1 button.
I didn't think this was a thing for the R1... I have only ever pressed the button and it's worked fine, no need to hold.

I agree, just a quick tap on the button in the R1 and it works great. It does often take a second or two before the door moves, maybe that confuses people a little.

MY
I got my T7 drive working last night by first formatting a much smaller drive and then cloning that onto my T7. We will see how long it lasts as I have a feeling there's more than one bug here.

So the lexar is working perfectly fine. Formatted once no issue and working.
My Lexar thumbdrive is also working with no disconnects, but at the same time my R2 has not captured any motion since August 10th! I just selected and deleted everything in Motion Cam and restarted the vehicle. Let’s see what happens now.

Bird's Eye is amazing. If someone asks, "What do you love about the R2 compared to your Tesla Model 3?", that's gonna be near the top of the list.

The garage door thing is working fine. When the alert appears on the display, it shows a cancel icon on the left of an image representing the right halo wheel, with a garage door image to the right.

I was pushing the wheel to the right, towards the garage door image. I missed the arrow next to the image, telling me to push *left*.

Duh.
